   It’s very rare that I feel compelled to leave a negative review, especially as a local customer and a business owner myself, but today’s experience has left me extremely disappointed. On a previous visit, beans were missing from my takeaway breakfast. I was told they would be added to my next order. Today, I ordered again and received a breakfast costing over £8 which was wholly unacceptable. The meal was missing the advertised toast, the previously promised extra beans were not included, and a tuna melt I ordered was written down but then not provided. When I queried this, I was told that as I hadn’t been charged for it, “it is what it is”. The breakfast itself was inedible, so I drove back to the café to show them. Rather than any attempt to apologise or rectify the situation, I was met with a defensive, stand-off attitude by three to four members of staff. One staff member simply said they would refund me and made it clear they just wanted me to leave. Another wafted a menu at me and stated “this is why we don’t do breakfast for takeaway” and suggested I should have ordered something else instead. At no point was there any ownership of the issues, apology, or genuine effort to put things right. The customer service was poor, dismissive, and unprofessional, which was far more disappointing than the food itself. Sadly, based on both the quality of the takeaway and the way this situation was handled, I would not return or recommend.
