Great pub fantastic service, always great conversations in there ,great music and great space outside ,friendly bar staff and a beautiful dog called dolly. Wide range of all drinks also. Would recommend this place if you want a calm chilled place to have a few drinks with your loved ones or friends or work collegues
I took 14 friends out for Christmas drinks yesterday, most of whom were visiting from outside Bradford. We arrived at 11 pm, just before the pub was due to close at midnight. The young blonde bar staff was welcoming, but unfortunately, her more senior staff member’s attitude was disappointing. She was abrupt and unprofessional, almost as if serving us was an inconvenience. While her behavior might have been overlooked in 1985, it certainly isn’t acceptable in 2025. It’s clear that she could benefit from some hospitality training—perhaps Bradford College offers courses that would be helpful. Despite this, the rest of the evening in Bradford was enjoyable.
Absolutely fantastic beer garden,very spacious with lots of seating. Great for live music as a stage outside.
A welcome addition to the Good Beer Guide - plenty of choice plus Sky Sports. Some great music memorabilia on the walls - well worth a visit.
This place has been a brilliant pub ever since I been calling in always get a good pint of hand pulled or Guinness they know how to serve real ales plus lager n cider they look after there customers & make this pub a very friendly n welcoming environment at all times the bar staff are super helpful plus it has an outside sun trap beer garden in summer time you can enjoy a beer while taking in the rays plus the views of the fantastic old buildings that surround the area unfortunately some of been knocked down but please if you are looking for a nice warm friendly boozer plus has horse racing on during the day plus football with so many good views to watch the screen the locals are very friendly as well . This pub has had high standards for such a long time that’s what makes it a good safe place for people to visit you won’t be disappointed.
Proper pub. Great selection of beers and super friendly service.
Good atmosphere, nice and busy with the sport on. Tetley cask 1 pint was excellent next wasn't so good.
Proper English pub. Great staff. Good beers. Friendly locals. Great prices. Handy if you stay at Jurys Inn. Close to City center.
