Sunbridgewells is truly a one-of-a-kind destination and an absolute must-visit in Bradford. Built into restored Victorian tunnels (which were once an air-raid shelter and even a nightclub!), the architecture and atmosphere are incredibly unique and atmospheric. It feels like a hidden subterranean village, offering a brilliant mix of independent pubs, craft beer bars, food outlets, and quirky shops. It's the perfect place to spend an evening exploring or settling down in a cosy corner for a drink. The history, the exposed brick, and the layout make it unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique social or shopping experience in the city centre!

Come on people, use these places or lose them. Visited on Sunday and no one in there, nothing going on at all. Such a shame as it’s a nice bar, a bit different and doesn’t attract the usual sorry sorts. Deffo needs a marketing boost to drive some footfall. It’s a great spot…..apart from the steps outside that smell a bit funky….

We passed through there the other Saturday morning. There was absolutely nobody there. Maybe it was the time of day. But it has so much potential. I'd definitely visit again

Great atmospheric place which was originally the air raid shelter for Bradford city centre. Quirky artifacts and info. Would definitely make a return visit.

Nice old style pub like a big mill with lots of floors to explore. Nice old steam engine and mad scientists laboratory. Nice bar staff and nice patrons.

We went on a Saturday afternoon before a football match. Staff were friendly, beer was adequate & good value. We ordered pizza from the pizzeria next door who brought it to our table in the bar next door. The pizza was very good! I suspect it’s much livelier of an evening than early doors Saturday lunchtime. A lot of places we’re still settling up. I’ll come back!

The atmosphere is incredible in this bar, with the walls giving a proper feel of being underground! When I used the toilets they had been kept very clean, identifiable by a clear sign. The bar was epic to eat and drink in, having a tunnel shaped ceiling and lights overhead as well as at the feet level! It was comfortable to sit down and my flavoursome drink was served quickly, followed by a true Italian pizza that was delicious.
