Was craving proper chips as don’t have a deep fat fryer at home …The Old Dolphin was recommended by locals and oh wow did it deliver !!! The staff were lovely and the food superb and very tasty ….but the chips were other worldly !!!! Like stupidly good and thick !!! Definitely would return and recommend to anyone passing to pop in …I’m having a bath full of chips next time I visit!!!

Enjoyed our lunch here today it’s a pub that I used to go in years ago. It’s certainly changed but it was for the better. It was nice to see a place busy and friendly. The food was lovely my husband had peppered chicken my friend had chicken breast burger and I had the pie. We all enjoyed and we will certainly tell our friends about how good it was. Yes we will be back.

Great selection of food on the menu. Pub visit was during a football match. Good service and thoroughly enjoyed the food. Although was expecting chicken slices cut from a roast. What I received seems to be scraps of leftover roast chicken. Little bit disappointed but will definitely visit again.

Absolutely wonderful pub situated in such a gorgeous part of the country. Was up from London visiting a close friend, but of course I couldn't miss my beloved Spurs on tv and the ladies behind the bar could not of been more accommodating to me, popped the game straight on for me and made sure I never had an empty glass. All the locals that came in to watch the match were also so lovely, friendly and chatty and just not what I'm used to from my area of England. And seeing and smelling what was coming out the kitchen all afternoon I was there I just had to come back with a friend later in the evening for my tea, which again was just absolutely incredible (I had the scampi for those wondering) and we even had our pints of Guinness bought to us at our table. I cannot wait to come back up and visit again!

A nice little pub with an beer garden attached. Plenty of seating out side to enjoy the sunshine. But there is a sheltered canopy if you wanted to be in the shade. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pub wasn't overly busy it had a pleasant buzz about it. We will definitely pop back, as we had,a lovely time.
