Didn't eat, but beer was great. Well kept ales, great prices, and they are part of the CAMRA discount and voucher scheme, which meant my pint cost £3.25. Amazing value. Great atmosphere, too, with 2 different footy matches on as well as a northern soul event.

Classic English pub and ale House, good selection of beers. Very reasonably priced. Live sports. Pulls a good crowd on weekends.
A few too many TV's for me but as the most exciting last day of the Premiership footie kicked off as we arrived I cannot hold this against them. The real ale was excellent and also very reasonably priced. We sat outside with cheers and groans regularly emanating from inside..and out as Steve is City fan.
I visited on a Sunday morning so it was quiet but this place looks like it has a happening. Overheard the bar staff say they had to remove five people over the weekend and two barred so it sounds like it gets lovely. Pool table near to centre of town and prices reasonable. I heard some rich language so the choice is yours.
