Me, my brother and my nieces went for some lunch at 13:15 only to be told the kitchen had to be closed….. at lunch time, no signs as we were entering the cafe. We were offered sausage rolls which were burnt. Apparently there was not enough staff in the kitchen to make sandwiches or toasted sandwiches. I understand it’s run by volunteers for a very good charity but surely they would be trying their best efforts to raise as much money possible and not fob people off with a burnt sausage roll.

Run by volunteers for a really worthy local charity- food is great, coffee was interesting and pricing was hard to understand - £4.50 for a baguette, £2.85 for a black coffee and £1.20 for a bar of chocolate- plus 10% parkrun discount- paid £9.30 - not fussed as the £1.60ish overcharge is going to a great charity but can't help but think that the brilliant staff team are being let down by their computerised till somehow

Nice cosy cafe place at the heart of Abbey Park, Leicester. Prices are reasonable. Carrot cake was really tasty. Scones were super fresh. They even serve samosas which was quite suprising. Moreover it is right next to historical ruins and river banks. Loved the atmosphere and I highly recommend this place. Nice stopover after a long walk in the park

I pay attention to toilets & this place had clean, well stocked toilets. Recommend a visit every time you are in Abbey Park

Nice and cosy cafe, though a bit small. The seats are very nice and comfy and the coffee is excellent. The service was a little slow, but it didn't matter as we weren't in a hurry. Also nice to see that they have gluten and lactose free options.

Great place now under the management of "Peppercorns" and they have done a superb job with refurbishment. Now has luxury leather settees, polished wood tables & chairs. It's a great asset to the Park and use it frequently. Another nice feature is that they are dog friendly and you are welcome to take well behaved dogs in on leads. If you 'like' this review please give me a tick ✅♥ Thank you...
