Lovely little tea room/cafe. Opposite bradgate Park. So great for either a before coffee snack hike. Or after for warning up. Nice and clean. Plenty of seating. Great garden area. Also dogs can enter, with purchasable dog treats. Would definitely recommend and visit again..

There is no other place on earth I'd have brunch again and again and again. Food is absolutely fantastic don't even get me started. Portions are massive (as seen in the photo their bread is as big as my face hahaha). Everytime I come here I take soooo much time in ordering because everything just sounds so delicious (and surprise surprise, they ARE). Drinks and dessert are PENG. Also, their chutney?? 100%! Best brunch place in Leicestershire hands down and I will never ever shut up about it!

If you’re heading to Bradgate Park, The Old Post Office Tea Rooms is the perfect spot to stop afterwards. Plenty of indoor seating, a lovely garden area if the weather’s nice, and a really cosy vibe overall. Service was good, food was nice, and it’s just one of those peaceful places where you can relax after a long walk. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area. Also have a bike stand in the garden which is good

TERRIBLE PLACE. 5 of us met here from far and wide for lunch to celebrate a birthday and spent nearly £100 on food and drinks. As a surprise I wanted to give my guest a birthday cake, but she has dairy/nut allergies, so I brought along a special cake. The girl on the counter said it would be ok, took the cake and agreed to light the candle and bring it over when we had finished our meal. It was supposed to be a surprise but then the manager came over, gave me the cake back and said we couldn’t eat our own food in her café. I asked if we could still light the candle, sing happy birthday and the birthday guest could take the cake home to eat but the manager said if she let us do that then everyone would do it (we were sitting upstairs, at the back on our own)! The manager offered to sell us a tiny flapjack (their only dairy/nut free option) to stick the candle in but by this time the surprise had been ruined so we left. It was an upsetting experience and if this hadn’t have happened, we would have spent a lot more money on another round of drinks and takeaway cakes/savouries to take home for tea. I don’t usually complain but the meal wasn’t worth the money (expensive small portions) with tiny jacket potatoes, the sourdough sandwich had some kind of greasy oil on it, the Vegan breakfast arrive with dairy butter and the meat breakfast had a random tiny piece of lettuce under the bacon. I will never visit The Old Post Office Tea Rooms again. The two other cafes next door are much better.

After a brisk but chilly, dog walk in Bradgate Park, The Old Post Office was a welcome sight. Lovely ambience, friendly staff, good food and very dog friendly...complimentary dog treats too.

Charming cafe across the road from Bradgate Park. Good varied menu. Lovely St Martins roasted coffee (worth going just for this) friendly service. Beautifully set out with comfortable seating suitable for individuals, couples or family/friends groups. We aways look forward to popping in for coffee and lunch/late breakfast after a brisk walk in the park. A welcome treat. I highly recommend a visit next yime you visit the park or just go for lunch anyway.

Very pretty little cafe, believe it was an old post office building, hence unique decor and style, very cosy & warm warming place. It’s a dog friendly place, dogs are welcome inside and outside the back garden, of course, please control your dogs. Lots of lovely cakes, treats to choose from, lovely beverages and light meals during the day. Staff is friendly and helpful. Price is reasonable considering the location, which is right opposite Bradgate Park. There is no on site parking, however limited street free parking spaces for 30 minutes free hour is right outside the cafe, within few minutes walk, just further down or up the street with 2 hours free parking spaces. Have to say it’s not easy to get free parking spaces at weekends.

We live this cafe, we always go after a long walk at Bradgate Park. The out door seating area is brilliant with seats under cover or in the sun, they’re totally dog friendly and you can take dogs inside as well as the garden. In the winter they have log burners going so it’s really cosy. The menu is great and the food is always lovely.
