It was perfect for us as a family of 8. Not too expensive but delicious food, the service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. We look forward to returning soon. Thank you to the staff.
Amy and Dan were the perfect hosts, along with the rest of their team. I was in a group of 12 late yesterday afternoon. The food was amazing (I had Chicken Supreme) plenty of chicken, portion size was enough. Desserts were very tasty. I will definitely be recommending this place to my friends, with another visit in the near future.
We visited The Black Horse , Foxton today for Sunday Lunch. I had the Smoked Bacon and my two friends had Roast Beef. The Presentation of each meal was amazing!!! Everything was delicious and piping hot. To finish off we had Apple crumble with custard. We will definitely be coming back.

Booked a table for the evening of 22/10/2022 for four of us holidaying in the local log cabins. We all had the Steak & Ale pie wiith Peas and Mash and what a delight it was! Short pastry lined and absolutely crammed full of big chunks of prime beef. We liked it so much we have already booked our next meal for tomorrow! Thanks to everyone at the Black Horse - Christine, Wayne, Joy & Dean.
We popped in for lunch whilst out on a walk and enjoyed a lovely Brie, bacon and cranberry baguette. Good portions and well priced. Despite arriving right at the end of a lunchtime service we were still made to feel very welcome and staff were polite and accommodating. Lovely outdoor seating area undercover, perfect if your out exploring around Foxton as we were. Dogs welcome here too.
We had a pint each and the pie of the day meal. Pie was well worth it . Would had preferred fresh vegetables not frozen peas as they only option. Over all we where both very full . Price was very reasonable Serving staff was lovely . Took the opportunity to leave the car and walk along footpath to see the locks . Would I come back. yes . It's a nice setting and I bet in the summer its gorgeous.

Absolutely loved our experience here...just got back and had to do a review right away. The atmosphere is so nice, relaxed and welcoming, every staff member we encountered was polite and so friendly. The food was perfect, the chips were gorgeous. And brownie with custard to finish, what more could I want. Plenty of parking, seating both inside and out. Might have to go back Thursday. Wish we were local. People of Foxton you are very lucky.
