“I haven't been here since I was a teenager! in those days there wasn't even mains electricity! there was a generator out the back in a shed, how things have changed, absolutely lovely place, canalside setting, tasteful decor, stunning views and fabulous food, honestly, the carvery is to die for! I'll post some photos, the food is as good as it looks, the staff are wonderful, friendly and efficient, once you've had you're fill, there's Foxton Locks themselves, an amazing piece of engineering and a fabulous view from the top lock, all in all a great place to while away a few hours and get a fabulous feed”

“I was part of a group of five staying at the hotel for a two night stay. Really impressed with the amazing staff at this hotel, really friendly, and accommodating. They all seemed very genuine and made our stay so enjoyable and special. We will definitely be back as it’s such a great location in the town. Our room was a little dated but it does look like they may be renovating rooms so I’m sure it will only get better and better. My Auntie had a superior double which was beautiful and she loved it. The other rooms were fairly priced and had everything we needed. We had afternoon tea on arrival too which was really good. Well done to everyone who works here :)”

“We ate here for three nights. The last two we were served by Leah, who was an absolute gem. She helped us with our loyalty card, thank you. Smothered Chicken is always a winner in any Table Table or Brewers Fayre. The steaks on our last night were very good. The meat had been trimmed and torched to death the way Samie loves it and a medium Rare for me me.”

“Been going back here since Christmas, the place had a period of very hit n miss for the past few years, but since the new manager Mark has taken over things have dramatically improved. The food has always been well cooked, very tasty and good sized portions. The staff are very friendly and welcoming too. Keep up the good work. Mark the manager resigned, and the atmosphere in the pub has changed. No friendly smile or greeting when you walk in like we used to get. Waited over an hour for food and it wasn't overly busy. Food was still good though. But the pub has definitely lost its spark.”
