   My sister hired the room for her 60th birthday, arrived at 12 noon to set decs up only to discover we had to set all the tables up also. These were big heavy round tables, not sure were they stand on insurance had one of us been hurt. For what she paid for the room, I would have expected it set up. The room was freezing cold with only 1, 2 bar electric heater. Bar prices were crazy, never got charged the same price twice. My brother was drinking pints of Madri at £6.95 a pint!!! he's from down south and said it was cheaper down there. Will never return to such an uncaring, overpriced establishment.

   We (Leicester Big Band) rehearse here on Tuesday evenings and play the odd gig as well. You can tell a great pub by the atmosphere that is created amongst the local clientele. The Linford obviously has a great relationship with its locals and thats down to the owners and bar staff who are very friendly. There are plenty of things going on in the week too.

   Hollie the bar lady was fantastic as was her friend the younger lad- friendly and very welcoming- as for the older boy who I think was the manager, he was rude & up himself, and didn't like anyone that wasn't a local! Also has faulty tables at a private function that caused tables to collapse with food & drink on them!... , then blamed us for that!! Won't be returning....

   I was there for a very busy wake for Rosy. For the number of people who were there, over 150?, the staff did very well to keep serving cold drinks at the bar as well as hot drinks too. The buffet was amazing and of a great variety to the norm, as well as including a good separate Vegan selection too. The room was set out well with large circular tables, chairs, tablecloths and a big vase of. lovely flowers on each table. Just on a slight downside, the music was very loud. a noisy rock type music? So it was difficult to hold and listen too a proper conversation. We didn't complain to staff in case it had been requested by the family of the late Rosy. Her Mum came to see us and led us to a smaller lounge at the back, which was much better and relaxed. I would go there again and recommend it to others. It's in a beautiful area too.

   Splendid community style pub,laid on some good filled cobs for our ramblers group.Had McMillan event on and also able to watch the football on TV .Dog friendly.

   Great place to have a celebration. We attended a christening and the function room is a decent size and great range of drinks available and not too expensive. It was a bit warm but air con is available.
