What an incredible night! Alfie and the other bar guys were super friendly and helpful, and the regulars are all party animals - just the job!
Went for a lunchtime jazz session, great ale, great food , albeit cobs sausage rolls pork pies crisps they were excellent, staff very friendly, great atmosphere for chilling out!
I just went for the music and a couple of beers , a good night with friends rock band on a good night was had
I’ve traveled around all the pubs in Leicester and the surrounding villages, rating the cobs as I go along. These cobs are by far the best I’ve had. Absolute perfection a block of cheese with rings of onion, placed between the best cobs you could ask for. If I could give this cob 10* I would. If you’re in the area I fully recommend going in for that glorious cob you won’t find anywhere else.
Would give this little gem 5 stars but it just needs a little polish up and it would be a cracking place to go for locals. Still would recommend., Friendly service and good drink selections. Stone throw away from watermead country park too.
A classic 'Local's' pub off the main drag that has numerous guesting beers! Perfect for a good pint and sociable moment or friendly chat be you a neighbor or not. (I'm not and always get a chirpy word from one of the locals.) Not seen any food served here so don't plan on a meal unless you check it out before coming.
This is definitely the best pub in Birstall, and myself, my wife and our dogs can’t wait till we can we go back. Such a dog friendly place which makes all of our furry friends and their owners welcome. Really missing all the people that work there, as well as all that drink in there.
Friendly atmosphere and good ale with live entertainment. Also dog friendly too.
