I have visited this cafe three times now and it’s so amazing, great atmosphere, friendly staff and really lovely cakes, they have quite a few vegan options which is amazing! Looking for a spot to grab a coffee and a piece of cake to get the day started or just as a treat, highly recommend coming here!!
I’ve been very regular customer to the Square Coffee ever since it opened - just before the COVID lockdowns - and even now that I’ve left the village and moved to London I take every opportunity to visit again. They make, in my opinion, the best coffee in the country and it’s always good to be greeted with a cheerful smile by their excellent staff. Their toasties are second to none and it’s nice to have their little secret garden to hide in now and then. Mind you, the garden can change totally on the evenings when they have fantastic street food, with great music and twinkly lights. I’ll be back!
Delightful. Really friendly staff. Cake selection includes delicious chocolate ones (see photo). Car parking opposite 2 hrs free. Spotlessly clean toilet

Quickly came in before closing time and barely got greeted by the front girl, and the entire time I ordered she had attitude towards me. I ordered a latte and simple toastie, hoping it wouldn't take long as I was the only customer ordering and had to leave soon. There was 3 of them standing around chatting, showing off pictures of their travels. My sandwhich still wasn't started. After a few minutes of sitting down with my latte, I reminded her it was a takeaway only to be rudely told "we only do takeaways" and then tells me she can't get much faster becausw its in the toaster- she could of started it a few minutes earlier. I was their last customer of the day and they weren't preparing any other orders. The other 2 smiled at me, but the one serving me just kept giving attitude. Finally getting to eat my sandwhich, I found a hair in it. It was melted into the cheese. Sandwhich itself was nothing above average than a grilled cheese sandwich on white bread. Coffee was good though. It looked cute on the outside so was excited to go in, but unfortunately I won't be returning.
Love this place! We mainly go for the takeaways at the weekends but on the days we drive past and it's open we treat ourselves to some snacks. I particularly like the fact you can order online in advance as well. If this lively cafe was open earlier I would definitely stop by on my way to work
We've been to quite a few of eat-in evenings and have always loved it, the food is great, and always a nice way to get something different. It's has a great atmosphere and nice drinks at a reasonable price, not to mention the staff are always really friendly.
This is a fab little coffee shop! I mainly use it when they have guest companies come in and do a take over in the secret garden. The English Indian company do incredible fish and chips and the Brum Mi (photos attached) do amazing Vietnamese Street food. Really easy to book website (albeit I did click the wrong day, messaged immediately and they sorted it via Facebook, they obviously forgot tho and rang me, the girl on the phone said she would "check it" which I did think was a bit snippy but she was polite and upbeat as I'd paid for it so not like I wasn't turning up) but I will forgive them for this as they are usually super nice and the service is good! The garden is a cute little area where you can sit in, not massive but nice in sunny weather I would definitely recommend! This place has made dunchurch a funky little village centre
