New owners did a lovely Sunday lunch, fresh yorkies, delicious meat and vegetarian option was a nice surprise, sweet potato and goats cheese tart, homemade. Delicious! Good value for money too! I think adding on a starter option would help stagger service a bit plus nice to have another tasty course. Pool table and darts board is a fun way to spend the rest of the afternoon after lunch in the other bar room. Looking forward to trying the weeknight menu soon too.

Large party for a Sunday lunch. Food was fresh, delicious and piping hot and very reasonably priced. New management who are trying to make a successful business and couldn't do enough to make our celebrations enjoyable. PLEASE GIVE THEM YOUR SUPPORT.

Great first pub stopover for us at the Old Thatched Inn - we were met by Matt the Landlord on arrival and he had saved us a good space in a coned area, Jess the landlady did us a special one off menu as they don't at the moment do food on a Tuesday which was lovely and very good value - they were both great hosts but their puppy Rottweiler (Rita) stole the show. We can't rate this stopover highly enough and will definitely use again.

I came here today for the Christmas carvery with 4 friends. The food was delicious, you could tell that everything was home made/fresh. The cheesecake is also to die for, it has a lovely atmosphere and the land lady is really nice. To top it all off, the prices were so reasonable! We all had a carvery, dessert and 2-3 drinks and paid less than £30. Would recommend!

26/02/2023. Had Sunday carvery. Beef and turkey with peas carrots broccoli cauliflower red cabbage and gravy. Along with roast potatoes mashed potatoes stuffing and Yorkshire pudding. Condiments also provided. All food hit and delicious. Staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend

We stopped here in our campervans on way to a music festival. We arrived just after food service had finished but they still served us. Marstons Pedigree can be hit and miss at the best of times but was spot on here. Would have liked another real ale as well but one is better than none. Also the people running the pub were great as well.

Stopped on our way to Hope Valley with my dog, we had a lovely baguette and sandwich with chips. The poor guy was on his own and cooed very well with bar, kitchen with tables. Must say the garden pictures on the website are nothing like the real thing! Very friendly with dogs welcome in all areas.

Been here today for our lunch with my husband, daughter and grandson. It's a Lovely old pub and I think it's just had a refurb. Toilets were spotless but there were lots of what looked like dog hairs on the floor near where we sat to eat, near the double doors leading outside. There was no-one else in the pub which made us a bit nervous but I can honestly say my Rump steak was perfectly cooked medium rare and there was only one guy working the bar and also cooking the meals. Will definitely go here again.

After a very long wait for food mine and my children's was practically inedible. Hubby had a mixed grill which he said wasn't bad. The staff were very pleasant though.
