My local halfords were not able to do wheel alignment on my Range Rover. I was told as i have a large SUV, it needs the hunter alignment machine so i went 10 miles to the Halifax branch garage. Now my steering wheel is straight with the wheels and drives better too. Thanks all.

Arrived, met by staff member who was brilliant, smiley and explained what would happen. Myself and my family waited for the car in a warm seated waiting area with view of workshop. All staff were busy doing there work and I was kept informed of the time it will take to fit my tyres. Really good experience at Halfords Automotive Centre in Halifax and would highly recommend.

Dreadful, over tightened wheels when changing 2 tyres and because a year and 3 months have passed, I must have taken it somewhere else in that time! Why wouldn’t I go back to anywhere else that I would have taken it to if that was the case?! Only other garage was my local tyre place trying to fix the slow punctures on both Halfords tyres, that actually advised me that they can’t get them off because they are so tight and might damage them, so advised me to go back to Halfords and get them to sort it! But they have no integrity, or customer service skills! They messed up my wife’s car too with a battery issue that I had to get sorted elsewhere! Do not trust these guys. They also told me I need a new locking wheel nut key, and when I went to main dealer to order one, they said, mine is fine, he said as long as they don’t use a gun on it. These guys have not got a clue! I have never heard of an establishment accuse the customer of causing the problem themselves! Clueless, they will never see another penny from us! Be warned, no wonder they have so many dreadful reviews !

Booked my son's 2014 Corsa in for a service and MOT. Arranged online which was an easy process. I even had a code for a price reduction. I received text messages to remind me of the time and date along with a still attending confirmation. Obviously there is the usual push to buy the extras which I declined. Once the keys were handled over I didn't stay and wait. There is a waiting area if required. I received an update via a phone call. Very professional and polite explained the faults in detail and started the price for each repair. All work carried out as agreed in a professional manner. Overall it's a good service, as with all old cars very pricey.

I had a great experience at Halfords Auto Centre. The staff were friendly, professional, and explained everything clearly before starting any work. My car went in for repairs and a few routine checks, and they completed everything quickly and to a high standard. They kept me updated throughout, and the final cost was exactly as quoted. The car now drives smoothly and feels much safer. Overall, excellent service and I’ll definitely return for future maintenance.

A great place to sort out any car issues. Colleagues are very knowledgeable, friendly and truthful. The prices are what you see. Depending on what needs doing to your car but all in all very fair price.

Booked car in at Halifax Autocenter as having an AA warranty on the car I have had for a month they were one of 4 garages I had an option to use. They were the most convenient to fit in with my day. Originally booked in for heaters not blowing hot air (make a note of this). But in the 2 weeks between booking and dropping it off it developed a knocking noise on the drivers side front asked for this to be looked at as well or made the priority if they couldn’t do both jobs. Gets a phone call a couple of hours later. The guy says we have been asked to look at the blowers not working but they are working fine. (Please note what i specifically said when I booked it in) I pointed out that I said that they were not blowing hot air. From there the guy asked when it last had a coolant change I said I don’t know I have only had the car a month. From which I was told that a coolant change was required to diagnose if there is a blockage. I told him not to bother with it. I asked about the knocking noise and was told they heard it but couldn’t find it so I would just have to let it get worse before they could do anything. So their reason I am not impressed with this garage. When diagnosing heaters not blowing hot air the first thing to check is if the coolant is circulating the system properly. The first thing to check is the condition of the coolant. If it brown and gunky this could be rust and would require a coolant change before diagnosis could carry on, but if it is all clean and lovely (as my coolant is) then changing it will do sweet F all. To actually diagnose a blockage you need to check the temperature of the hoses at multiple points around the system if any are cold then there is a blockage. The main component that requires checking for the internal heaters is the heater matrix it has two pipes coming through the bulkhead if both are hot then there is no blockage and it is working correctly. Also the fact that the engine is not overheating shows that there is no problem with the cooling system. Therefore in conclusion the issue is from inside the car either the blending doors or the connector for the knob to the blender doors. In summery it took me 15 mins to narrow down the diagnosis to that stage. If I can diagnose it to that point and I haven’t worked on a car for 15+ years why can’t an active mechanic? I will be taking the car to one of the other garages for the knocking noise and may just sort the heater issue myself or get my regular mechanic (who actually has a clue) do the work.

Fantastic Service from the team at Halfords Servicing Centre. After originally purchasing a battery from the store up Pellon lane and being messed about, made to return the battery and repurchase (a more expensive one which wasn’t needed as I was made aware) and given false information from Pellon Lane Store, Lauren did her upmost best to sort out my issue and was so apologetic regarding the false information and mess about id had from the other store. She consulted with her manager and ensured that I wasn’t out of pocket following the information from the other store. They resolved it quickly and honoured my original price and fit the battery quickly. I was so worried I was going to have to fork out over an extra £100 when i first walked in but Lauren was amazing and helped me so much. Thank you so much for a fantastic service.

Although I arrived expecting a puncture repair on spot . Am pretty sure this is advertised. The staffed seemed a little under trained and there were quite a few upset costumers around which wasn't pleasant. I think a little better management and it would really up the service
