   Terrible service from start to finish in the Trowbridge branch. Charged my partner just over £400 for a 10 minutes meeting and a couple of emails to another solicitor that she wasn't even instructed to engage with. On top of that, the reception did not pick up the phone nor return calls after voice messages were left on separate days and times. I dealt with solicitors in the past, but never had such a negative experience. Avoid

   We cannot recommend Goughs Solicitors practice enough particularly Natalie Kemp. Natalie genuinely cares and throughout our case kept us constantly updated. She was always realistic and trustworthy with regards to what we could expect and we honestly wouldn’t have got through the last year and a half without her support. Natalie shows integrity, compassion, patience and is totally non judgmental. She constantly demonstrates her expertise. You will be in safe hands using Goughs Solicitors.

   We had Ailie from the Trowbridge Gough's office act on our behalf on the sale/purchase of our house. I wouldn't normally leave a review for a solicitors, because let's face it we pay through the nose for their services! However, when it comes to Ailie, she was worth every penny! She was friendly, professional, and so efficient. She chased things when it probably wasn't her job to chase, she was always quick to return my emails or calls, and she showed such a caring attitude towards us as clients. It was as if Ailie knew how difficult the process can be (and ours was!) and ensured she looked after us. Ailie showed up the other solicitor's in the chain - not by calling them out, but by just dealing with us so efficiently and professionally - it always felt we were being slowed down by others, but never by a lack of activity or effort by Ailie. She even emailed me when she was on holiday to check in! This is an extract from my email to Ailie, thanking her for all of her help: "You have been an ambassador for Goughs and if(big if!!!) we ever buy/sell again then I’d certainly be looking to employ your services……but not only that, if the rest of the staff at Goughs have half of your commitment then I will be turning to them for all my legal (hopefully limited) needs!    I have used Goughs quite a few times over the years, in particular for property transactions as a small scale investor. In the most recent instance this was for the sale of a 2 bedroom apartment, part of a small block. Transactions involving apartments noxiously can be tricky due to the interactions required with the Landlord and the Management Company and of course made more difficult due to the COVID restrictions with people working from home etc. However, once again, I was delighted with the service provided by Ailie from Goughs. She is a conveyancing expert and brings a structured, meticulous and very responsive approach - an understanding that time is of the essence. She was always available to answer any queries and ensured that there were no delays on 'our side' of the transaction process. I would have no hesitation in recommending Ailie and Goughs to those looking for a similar service.
