It is with genuine sadness and deep disappointment that I write this review. For years, Jordans was our go-to garage, the only place we trusted with our vehicles. It was a relationship built on what we believed was honest advice and reliable service, a local business you felt good about supporting. To see that trust so completely shattered has been a truly awful experience. The garage we once knew is gone, replaced by something that feels cynical and exploitative. The decline is obvious from the moment you try to interact with them. The receptionist, Hazel, sets a shockingly hostile tone. Her frosty and dismissive attitude makes you feel like a genuine inconvenience, creating a tense and uncomfortable atmosphere. When you're already stressed about car problems and significant expense, the last thing you need is to be treated with such disdain. Our most recent visit turned into a financial and emotional nightmare. We went in for work on the brakes and discs and, trusting their expertise as we always had, agreed to the significant £1,500 bill. However, the workmanship we witnessed was appalling. The sound of our car being aggressively hammered and battered was deeply unsettling. It became clear that their method is not skilled repair, but brute force, and this shoddy practice is clearly causing severe collateral damage. This isn't just a suspicion; it's exactly what happened next. It felt like we were trapped in a cycle they had created. No sooner had we paid the initial £1,500, the ball joint on the same wheel had now broken. This cost us another £180. We paid it, hoping against hope that this would be the end of it. To our horror, upon collecting the car from that repair, the wheel bearing on the very same wheel was suddenly needed replacing, with a new quote for another £450. The total for a catalogue of failures on our car was now set to exceed £2,500. It stopped feeling like bad luck and started feeling like a deliberate strategy. We are left feeling utterly betrayed, taken advantage of, and frankly, disgusted. Knowing that two of their mechanics have recently quit only reinforces our belief that this decline is due to serious internal or management issues. We have lost all faith in their integrity and their ability to perform even basic repairs without causing further, costly damage. This experience has caused a huge amount of stress and anxiety. We will never be returning, and we feel compelled to warn other loyal customers or new visitors: please be incredibly cautious. The honest, reliable Jordans we once trusted no longer exists.
Hazel and John are the most helpful people I have come across! Took the vehicle in on short notice, didn't charge an arm-and-a-leg (in fact significantly less than the original "suspect" amount), very quick and most of all turned a nasty breakdown situation trauma into "just another thing". Technically great. Highly recommended.
Absolutely blown away by how quick and efficient the team at Jordan’s Car Repair was. I brought my car in with an issue that I expected would take at least a day or two to sort out — but they had it diagnosed, fixed, and ready to go within a few hours. No delays, no excuses, just straight to work. the team clearly know what they’re doing. They didn’t waste any time, but still took the care to do the job properly. I was kept updated throughout, and they explained everything clearly without trying to upsell me anything I didn’t need. It’s rare to find a repair shop this fast without sacrificing quality. I usually go to Jordan's for my MOT's, service and general vehicle repairs. I've always had fantastic service from them, and they've always treated me fairly... Even not charging for simple repairs that were just a few minutes work. My only complaint is that they're always super booked up, so it's hard to get an urgent appointment! They come highly recommended.
Jordans did a last minute MOT and brakes job for me, l totally forgot it was due. Polite receptionist and owner. Good price, kept in contact with me. I shall use them for my services now. Thankyou Simon & staff
Struggled to find anywhere that took me seriously and treated me with respect as a female customer. These guys pick up the phone, respond to e-mails, and fit you in for work really promptly. Their quotes are fair and better than others nearby. I go every year for my MOT and don't bother getting quotes for work needed anymore as I trust them. I've never felt intimidated or dismissed, which was a common occurrence at other garages. I'd really recommend them.
Booked for Monday morning for overall check and service if needed, drove there but couldn't find the garage with Google maps. Phoned them and the lady said I'm not booked in and maybe I booked in a different branch. As I'm driving around the area I managed to find it, pulled over, 2 mechanics outside didn't even greeted me, completely ignoring my existence which made me believe that they really don't have my booking. In my opinion if the same company have more than one branch then they should communicate between them and not leave the client in the dark. Another improvement suggestion to the garage: send each client confirmation email or text with all the relevant information.
