A popular place with a lot of character. There is nothing normal about this place, it oozes an open house feeling so that everyone is made to feel welcome. Great choice of locally crafted beers and other alcoholic and soft beverages.
I went into this pub whilst on my way to Newport Market. Hopefully I'll go back here again. The place is unusual, but comfortable with some imaginative seating arrangements! There was some music, but not intrusively loud, so conversation was easy. They have a great range of craft ales and beers on draught, and a range of lagers on tap. There were also a range of bottled beers and lagers. The staff were great! The man behind the bar was happy and friendly, as were his customers. I felt comfortable enough to tell a joke as a stranger, which is a plus nowadays. I recommend the pub, and I'm going back there as soon as!
Great atmosphere, great beer, lovely staff. Beautiful Sunday afternoon with great music. Best afternoon out in Newport. Stay away, avoid it like the plague. Don't want it getting too busy! Joking. Smashing place.
What an amazing place! Great selection of drinks, great atmosphere and a real joy of a venue for live music! It's personal, joyous and bloody wonderfully unique.

Cosy little bar with live music. Came in here when we had the foot of snow and the atmosphere was wonderful! Drank beer with good company and played board games for the evening. Definitely recommend :)
Is there a day where you won't find Nathan White here? Probably not. But that's not a bad thing. Rumours of free cheese and deluxe bottle selection abound
