   Had Christmas dinner here and wouldn’t recommend it. Food was not good at all and for the price we expected better quality! The roast potatoes were rock hard and so were the Yorkshire puddings and food was generally not good. 7 people came 7 people left with a poor experience and will likely not return. Shame but looks like we will be doing it ourselves next year. Terrible value for money!!

   Had our wedding party here 16/11/25, and nothing was too much trouble for the team. Tables were laid, drinks served on arrival, food was quick and hot, (we have been many times for food, and it always tastes fantastic!) When we had a spillage on one of the tables, it was cleared with a fresh tablecloth immediately. The staff are polite, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, and always respectful. I can't recommend it here enough. And to top it all, you have fantastic views overlooking Cardiff, Steepholm and Flatholm!

   The location of this restaurant is lovely. We visited on a Saturday night which we appreciate can be busy, even taking that into account the wait time for the food seemed excessive. The salmon whilst looking over cooked was in fact ok, as were the two and a half prawns that came with it. When meal came we had to ask for our cutlery. The food looked like it had been just thrown onto the plate. The grilled lemon, kale, green beans and mangetout were all missing. When asked about this we were brought a bowl with green veg. With a price of over £20 for this one meal, I think a bit more care should have been taken to ensure it matched its description of content. And cutlery an absolute must.

   Came for Sunday dinner, what a stunning meal and great dessert. Although the restaurant was busy, the food came in a reasonable time and tasted incredible! Absolutely recommend the Trio Roast!

   Walked here for lunch from Parc Cefn Onn. Lovely pub, dog friendly, we hadn’t booked but there were tables outsides. We had sunday lunch including one veggie version which was delicious. The lemon tart for dessert with clotted cream was also delicious. Latte wasn’t great but wasn’t a deal breaker. Service was quick and friendly. Would definately return.

   A wonderful setting overlooking Cardiff, with great service and lovely food. This visit was for Sunday lunch and did not disappoint. I had a trio of meats (beef, Turkey and pork) with the biggest Yorkshire I’ve seen! Plenty of sides and extra gravy provided when asked. Everyone agreed it was delicious. Dessert was outstanding-melting chocolate dome with brownie and ice cream-highly recommend a visit!

   Popped in for a quick bite to eat. Although it was a quiet Thursday night, the service was good. I had a signature burger, which was enjoyable. The pub has a large outdoor area and large car park. We'll worth a visit.

   Got married here at the end of October this year. Could not have picked a better venue. Situated in the countryside with stunning views of Cardiff. The Barn room was perfect for a small wedding. Emma and her team worked hard to make sure the day ran flawlessly which it did. Guests were very complimentary on the food. A beautiful place that helped make so many wonderful memories for us.

   Just had food at this great pub. One of our party needed vegan and gluten free food and drink. The staff were great at making sure all dietary needs were met. The food was absolutely delicious. The best pub food we've had in ages. Finally our host John was fantastic and made sure our evening was a memorable one. Many thanks

   A little out of the way but great views over the city. Good honest pub grub at reasonable prices, with offers of 2 courses for £12.50 in the week. I had the special for the day, salmon with dauphinois potatoes, for £10 and it was delicious. Partner had bangers and mash, with peas and fab beef dripping gravy which was lovely. Was sat near the log fire which was nice and had a great pint of Barry Island IPA. Staff were lovely and efficient too. Oh, and they let dogs in!
