Honest review - Bitter experience !! I went VAS auto to replace my Car”s suspension arm and tie rod ends . I also mentioned about my next trip to london from coventry after repairs . They have done their work as said but after the job is done I experienced that the steering is not centrally aligned and also seen over smoothness in steering ( which i assumed is due to new part - fair enough i agree ) but i also seen my vehicle being pushed to one side even for a gentle application of braking . i have risked my self along with my family driving 180 miles on motorway since i have to drop my cousin at heathrow the next day . Being helpless i have drive the same car which turned out to be a suicide machine . Luckily I managed to drive back . Once i reached coventry i rushed to VAS and the explanation given was you have to go for a wheel allignment once tie rod and suspension rod is changed . ( they also mentioned thats a basic thing which i should be aware of - being a mechanical engineer myself i didn't knew about this , imagine about common public ) Conclusion - Critical services / work done needs to throughly checked before delivery . some may turn out to be dangerous . Proper communication missing , if there is a need of wheel alignment please let the customer know about that . Thanks

Starting with the positives... after I had an issue with my car that meant I had to cancel my MOT appointment earlier in the week, they fitted me in at short notice today. Unfortunately, that's about as good as it got. I arrived at 9, and when handing over the keys was told that they don't actually have their MOT licence yet, so would be taking it elsewhere to be done, but also didn't know the name of where it was going. This was the first that it was mentioned (having booked in twice on the phone: the cancelled appointment from earlier in the week, and the second one for today). Had I known this in advance, I'd have gone elsewhere, but at this point decided to go ahead. I'd been told when booking it'd probably be about 4pm before it was done, but they'd keep me up to date. I had a quick look at the MOT online system shortly after 2pm, and it showed the work was complete. After hearing nothing, I called twice a few minutes apart shortly before 4pm, and neither call was answered. Living nearby, I decided to walk over and see what was going on. When I arrived, they hadn't picked my car up yet, but said they'd do so and it'd be about 15-20 minutes. I went for a walk to kill some time, and got back to them about 35 minutes later... at which point my car still wasn't there, and there was no one at reception. I waited about ten minutes, and called the place that had done the MOT (having looked it up through the MOT check site), and was told they'd literally only just picked it up. Eventually they reappeared, and asked for payment by bank transfer... I declined, at which point a card machine was suddenly available. I really hoped that the level of service I'd had from this garage before the change of ownership would continue, but sadly it doesn't seem like it will. I don't think I'll be back.

Extremely disappointed — Unprofessional behaviour, overpriced, and careless service Review: I had a deeply frustrating experience at Venkateswara Automotive Services (VAS Autos). I went in for a simple local service — clearing diagnostic codes and replacing a fuse. For this very basic task, they charged me £90. Even large service centres like Halfords wouldn’t charge anywhere near this amount for the same job. To make matters worse, they didn’t even put the OBD port cover back on, showing a complete lack of care and attention to detail. Communication was poor, and whenever I asked for clarification, I was met with dismissive attitudes as if my questions were an inconvenience. The service felt rushed, overpriced, and unprofessional. If such a straightforward job is handled so poorly, I have no confidence in their ability to manage more complex repairs. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend VAS Autos and hope they take this feedback seriously to improve their professionalism and customer care.

Hi, thanks for the good service. I had given my car for mot and service this week with them. I had a noise in the car many days and my previous service was not able to fix it. These guys have well diagnosed and found the link rod issues and replaced. They ordered parts by themself and fixed my car to pass mot. I’m really happy about the service with them personally. They are very polite and good customer service and very transparent. Thanks for good service and keep it up the good work.

I'm very pleased with the services I received a few days ago at Gibbs Automotive garage. A problem with my Citroen C3 suspension was diagnosed accurately and repaired and replaced only that what was required. The car drives well again. I'm very happy.

If you have a Mazda Bongo, I believe Gibbs Auto services is the best place to go to in Coventry. Mike is calm and no waffle type of mechanic. Very competitive prices. Contactless payment. Excellent adherence to social distancing and disinfecting surfaces pre and post work completed. I would highly recommend.
