   Ordered Fish & chips, fish was undercooked with soggy batter & lacked flavour, chips came out brown where they were cooked in old oil, staff forgot to bring drinks over so I had to go up and ask for them myself. First experience was poor, in no rush to return.

   Absolutely beautiful food, couldn't fault a single thing! My son has ASD and they catered to his needs perfectly. Adapted all of his meals and made sure we were comfortable at our table. Staff were attentive and understanding of all of our requests and didn't question a single thing. Will absolutely be returning, thank you so much for giving us such an enjoyable and comfortable experience x

   Great friendly local(ish) pub. Our son lives in Barry and we often visit and meet at this pub, often with our other son and granddaughters. Food lovely, good selection of drinks, what more could you want??? Plus A decent vegetarian selection for my daughter in law!

   They say a picture paints a thousand words!! This steak was cooked by Vicky, it just shows there’s no limit to her abilities. Every-time i order steak from the colcot i'm never disappointed. We visit here regularly because truthfully the whole experience is great, the food is always hot, all the staff are always happy to help and the atmosphere is buzzing. Fridays i would recommend booking in advance, however they will accommodate if it’s just a walk in. :)

   Nice venue, staff helpful, knowledgeable, and switched on. Food very nice, fresh and hot. The bonus is this place hosted Gavin and Stacy the pub quiz plus more. A filming location not to miss.

   Popped in as a off chance! Lovely spacious seating area shown to a table straight away,food was delish! all staff were happy and bubbly especially Samantha Fraser who was polite and courteous at all times nothing was too much trouble clearly very good at her job! I will be returning soon xx

   Nice steak but think they should update their opening hours to reflect the fact that 8.30 is last orders and close at 9. Nothing was mentioned when we arrived and ordered our food so felt like our experience was rushed. Would have eaten earlier or chosen another venue if we'd known this.

   The food was fine, with typical chain pub meals. Quite a varied menu and prices reasonable. Service was adequate, nothing special, and just delivered food to the table. I guess you pay for what you get. You don't go expecting 4 star service or food at a Sizzler pub. Everything was ok.

   Lovely meal in the week - I tried the chicken skewers which were fab and a very reasonable price. Would recommend booking ahead - all of the tables were fully booked when we were eating there. Will definitely be back.

   unprofessional! the food took 40 mins despite there being 4 tables. the staff were just stood in the kitchen swearing very loudly and singing. the waitress didn't leave the kitchen other than to bring food didn't do any check backs to find out items were missing. she seemed more interested in having a flirt and eating crisps. it wasn't even busy for there to be an excuse for the delay or rudeness. I then asked for a box and for given a bag because "there too expensive" I'd like to know a complaint procedure as well my experience was not acceptable
