Fantastic place for allergies. We went short notice as a party of 5 adults and 3 children. Host was incredibly nice and helpful. Full and clear allergen menu alongside normal menu - and staff were confidently talking about allergens and adjustments that could be offered - for this it was my best ever experience. Everyone enjoyed the food, it was cooked well, tasted awesome. We're already planning when we can return. I'll be recommending this place to everyone.

My family and I stayed here in October & we had a lovely weekend. Great service, friendly atmosphere & quality cooked pub food. And a great breakfast / coffee too. The rooms are a little run down but we knew this before booking & chatted to them re the fact they are mid-renovations etc. We would definitely come back once the work is complete.

We booked in for the Sunday Roast and it was incredible!! The three of us had the pork belly, beef and root veg pie with all the trimmings and it was delicious. You MUST order the Cauliflower Cheese! Service was great, atmosphere was lovely, would recommend!

Great little find! We followed the signs on the main road and was hoping for a homely pub. This pub was exactly that! Friendly staff, Great food and exactly what we needed after a long day being tourists around barry island and cardiff! Would highly recommend.

Stayed for one night and had the best aray. Staff are wonderful, can't do enough for you. Food in the evening was really tasty and good value for money. Beer very good too, with a lovely warm atmosphere next to the fire. Definitely recommed

Having seen the dinners served to others, I needed to dine at the Fox and Hounds too! Oh, la la! Superb! And, very good gluten-free options.

1st time back for a very long time. Last time I was here the restaurant was upstairs. That area is now several guest rooms. The restaurant is modern and they serve traditional good quality food. I had the sautéed mushroom starter (The roll was gluten free) The Lamb main. (Asked how I wanted it cooked. Love mine pink) was tender and moist with sautéed potatoes and mixed veg. I finished off with a glorious white chocolate and raspberry Crème Brûleé. It was great to speak to both Aaron and Michael (The chefs) in the relaxing and cosy bar area afterwards. They ask for and embrace feedback. The whole front of house and kitchen team are young and excited about what they do and want to make things the best than can. Overall a great experience. I will pop in to sample the lunchtime menu as well soon. P.S. Forgot to mention a nice selection of Wye Valley Ales.

My partner booked this place for my birthday, the night before we stayed in a 5 star hotel and I would say the fox and hound was so much better. They were welcoming and so friendly, they catered for all our needs. The breakfast was delicious and plenty to chose from. Our stay was really comfy and the shower was beautiful. We will definitely be coming back.

I have just returned from a 2 night stay with my daughter and will not be returning. On the up side the 3 members of staff we met were lovely and were working very hard, however the room was supposed to be the superior room and I was so disappointed with it. There was dust on the t.v, fan, table and in the wardrobe. There was peeling wallpaper, rust and mould in the bathroom, threadbare patches on the carpet, a large black mark that looked like ink on the bed sheet. We paid for this room as soon as we arrived, if I had seen it before hand I would not have stayed. The food was nice but the continental breakfast was not quite continental.
