I want to thank Rosie who works in the ASDA Local Store in Wyke, I absolutely hate using the self checkouts and each time I have been in the store she has made a point of coming over and serving me and it is really appreciated, all the staff are very helpful in store, and they making shopping there a pleasure - thank you
Went into Asda at Wyke to pick up a parcel, I was met with a lovely member of staff, Rosie was very helpful and quickly got my parcel so I wasn't waiting around.
Might be worth diversifying, in the half an hour that Asian customers visited they were met with hostility and a disgusting racist look. Refusing to talk to them and me. Might need a new manager that isn't white and racist.
Often visit this place but normally find that the majority of items I want are out of stock. Also, their Lottery machine is constantly on the blink! Tried to get tickets from there this morning, only to be told it wasn't working. This seems to be the position most weeks. Complete waste of time. Don't bother wasting your time there!!!
Am upgrading my previous review as there appear to have been some changes made to the store. Some new faces and a huge improvement in customer service. The young lady who assisted me today was very professional and most helpful, l resumed shopping here some time ago and the improvement is very noticeable.
Now there is only one manned checkout and such a ignorant attitude if you want to go through it, you get shouted at " Not enough Staff: 3.40 pm 04/01/2023 staff stood around the checkout area, one staff member throwing baskets together and staff socialising on the shop floor. "You will have to que like everyone else" at the top of her voice " Excuse me madam, the vast majority were queuing for the unmanned checkouts, I was not, I did not want to use those checkouts , If we no longer have a choice inform us at the door, notice or verbally, it saves us having to leave a trolly load when walking out of the store never to come back again.
It's a relatively small shop but they seem to have a decent range of items
It's Not a big Asda more like a mini Asda adequate for a quick shop hasn't got a great selection as in a big asda
It’s always a pleasure to shop at the Asda Store in Wyke, West Yorkshire. The boys and girls who work in this store are a delight and are so hard working, polite, helpful with the most welcoming smiles. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and at the drop of a hat will assist customers in anyway they can. Special thanks to Rose, Brendan, Gloria, unfortunately I do not know all the staff names, but a huge thank you again for looking after all the Asda shoppers in Wyke. The staff are lovely but the store is pretty poor. Many items were out of stock, had to compromise on loads of things. Ended up paying far more than I normally would due to this. Found the whole experience quite depressing
