Please educate your staff on the use of gift cards. First told I can use it by the website then told i can't by the staff. Staff called for help met with an extremely grumpy man who tried to tell me there's nothing on my 50 quid gift card. It's embarrassing enough using a gift card. I worked it out by myself at the till, gift card need to be added to your phones wallet and paid contacless. Your staff should know this and should not make the customers feel like thieves or halfwits. Unbelievable.

Tesco Halifax store has always been my go to store for my weekly supermarket shop but not any more. Its so called new design and layout is an absolute mish mosh. You cannot find anything, the aisles are narrow and the lines of products that used to be available has severely gone down. Its more like a local convenience store. Every time you go into the store, prices seem to skyrocket on a weekly basis and is definitely not the store it used to be.

Seeing the recent reviews about the redesign has made me feel better. I thought I was just being resistant to change but clearly not. What has happened to Halifax store. What a complete mish mash of a shopping experience. Stuff always out of stock. Vital stuff such as washing powder has been super reduced to a very small selection. Messy untidy store now looks more like a budget shop. Sandwich meal deal aisle separating the multiple random meat aisles and let’s not forget the random bread aisle amongst it all. Who puts tea bags with breakfast cereal and toilet roll? Can’t comment on the new fridges cos quite simply my 20 years of loyalty has moved to Sainsbury’s. Tesco Halifax is now full of miserable customers, limited selection of products, messy store, random layout, pallets of products all over the place. And don’t forget all the customers you see going backwards and forwards down the aisle trying to find where stuff is. Ranting but it makes my blood boil. I only now go in to collect my prescriptions.

Security guard has a serious attitude problem as do most staff. Customers are not made to feel welcome here, suggest you spend your money elsewhere. The staff at Sainsbury's in Halifax seem a lot nicer.

As a long time shopper here (every Sunday for the past 15+ years) the renovation that is currently underway has completely ruined what once was a good and reliable outlet. The new lights that've been installed are hostile and abrasive, extremely unfriendly for anyone with sight issues. I experience light sensitivity and cannot go in without getting a headache and eye ache now, my mother with glaucoma now has to rely on shopping with others because she can't NOT wear sunglasses when in here now. The new fridges are dark and lit at the front which is awful when the harsh overhead lights create an additional glare and reflection. Whilst they're still currently moving items around at the time of this review, certain items that have already found their new home are in complex and convoluted places. Why is the meat with the veg? And why have they placed them there when the fridge can't even fit all of it? Half of the meat is on the next aisle... Whether this renovation has come about due to an inexperienced higher up or what they assume is making a better shopping experience, what they've actually done is create a very unfriendly and disorganised shopping experience. Since they started this, our family have consistently gone from spending Β£150-Β£200 a week in here to under Β£100 everytime due to not being able to find items, items not being in stock, or even worse, items being in such confusing places that we don't ever want to go back on ourselves. For our health, we cannot continue shopping here anymore. (Worth noting- this is absolutely not the staffs fault, the staff at this store are incredible. They've been nothing but helpful, friendly, and upbeat during this rough change. So thank you for that.)

Beware private parking wardens, especially on the disabled parking bay's, they target blue badge holder's and you won't know until it comes through the post.

As soon as I walked into this store I was bombarded by people asking me to purchase things I had never even heard of!!! Things like courgettes, zucchinis, and flour?!!?!?!? This is an outrage, I was barely able to buy anything I wanted because I visited the shop at 11:30 at night and "apparently" that is "too" "late". Never coming here again.

Always loved going to Tesco for my shopping. It always has such a variety with different things you need and also has the best quality and deals that you can find around king cross area. Can’t beat going to Tesco
