We recently used Watkins Solicitors for both the sale of our old property and the purchase of our new home, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Samantha Finn was absolutely brilliant throughout – professional, efficient, and incredibly supportive from start to finish. She kept us fully informed every step of the way, responded quickly to any questions, and went above and beyond to keep the whole chain moving. Even when things became stressful, Samantha remained calm, proactive, and reassuring, ensuring that everything stayed on track for completion. We are so grateful for her hard work and dedication. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Samantha Finn and the team at Watkins Solicitors to anyone buying or selling a home – a truly 5-star service!

I had the absolute pleasure of having Emily Mitton at Watkins Solicitors representing on a education law matter. From the very beginning, Emily was professional, compassionate, and highly knowledgeable. She kept me informed at every stage and showed genuine dedication to achieving the best outcome for my child. What truly stood out was how accessible and supportive Emily was through legal aid for a judicial review. This made it possible for me to challenge the local authority effectively and secure what my child is legally entitled to. Emily went above and beyond to ensure every detail was addressed and handled with care. I would highly recommend Emily and Watkins Solicitors to any parent needing specialist support in education law. Their expertise, professionalism, and genuine commitment to families make a difficult process far more manageable and empowering.

We approached Watkins Solicitors about a year ago for an EHCP tribunal. We were exhausted already from the battle to get any support or our teen. Emma our solicitor has been amazing throughout, professional, supportive of all our send needs, understanding of the need to break down the overwhelming process so we can stay informed at all stages and support our teen to understand too. .At all points our teen has felt included and supported. Our teen has known all along that finally someone was going to be a voice for our teen and in this process someone was going to walk along side us and fight just as hard as we have. We cannot begin to thank Emma enough for all of her support and professionalism we would not have managed to get a comprehensive and legal EHCP that finally states what our teen needs without her relentless efforts to get this right for us. Thankyou for fighting along side us and thank you for taking the pressure off us in what has been a difficult year. Our teens future is beginning to look more hopeful and that's down to you. Many thanks. The downing Family . We can thoroughly recomend anyone reaching out to Watkins Solicitors for support and advice with any aspect of Education Law.

We appealed against a Cease to Maintain EHCP on behalf of our daughter, and our entire case was managed by Emma Thompson. She was extremely helpful and guided us through every step of the process. Emma is very knowledgeable in her field (SEN) and liaised with all parties involved both efficiently and professionally. She had been recommended to us by someone who had equally positive feedback, and she certainly lived up to that reputation. Thanks to Emma’s expertise, we achieved the desired outcome in our appeal. She then went on to support us with a transport appeal, which also resulted in a positive outcome. I would have no hesitation in using her services again should the need arise.

Emma Thompson was recommended to me by other specialist teaching professionals when my daughter suffered an autistic burnout in Yr9. In the middle of the SEND crisis, at risk of losing everything, I was put in a desperate position, as a widow, far from family, who worked for the very LA I was suddenly head to head with, it was a tough one. Emma was extremely good at cutting through my panicked ramblings and summing up the problem in a sentence. She let me handle things my own way when I felt confident, and would check on me when I had gone quiet for a while, all ready to step in and speak to the LA on my behalf whenever things got too much. All along, she was happy to clarify the law and the processes I was going through. This was empowering and invaluable knowledge that I will take forward with me to help support other families. Although it took forever to get education sorted for my daughter, we did it eventually. Yesterday she sat her last GCSE exam, in Yr11, at the same time as her friend. It has been lovely to hear them discuss their exam experiences and compare their answers, on their evening videocalls. Even if she doesnt get top grades, those sorts of normalising peer experiences are helping her mental health no end. Thanks to Emma, we also have a college place sorted for a whole fresh start in September. Back on track! I can - and do - recommend Emma to other parents frequently. There are some great SEND solicitors across the country but Emma was the perfect mix of compassion, knowledge and sensitivity for our family.

Through a very difficult process Emma and Beverley have been absolutely fantastic. They have helped advise, support and helped reduce the monumental stress of the EHCP. Their knowledge and expertise, working with the LA really helped us get the very best EHCP we could have hoped for. They have since given us follow up support in annual reviews and we will continue to use them each year. Thank you!

I would like to thank Emma for all her hard work and with her knowledge of the SEN system she succeeded in getting my daughters school named in her EHCP after the initial plan had named a mainstream school that would never be able to meet her needs. I would recommend Watkins Solicitors to anybody having issues with ECHP funding if your child needs to go to the school of your choice and you are not happy with your local council's decision don't give up give Watkins Solicitors a call i am sure they will be able to help.

100% professional, caring & helpful from day 1 to the end. Urgently needed help with EHCP after long battle trying to help our daughter, Emma & Beverley took all the pressure off, listened, acted & were positive & achieved the outcome we long awaited. I couldn’t praise them more, Emma is fantastic at her job, straight to the point, no time wasting ever & always does exactly what she says.. the most efficient woman I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with, so reassuring and refreshing! I would use this company again if needed & definitely recommend to all. Thank you ladies you’ve made a huge difference in our lives & we definitely wouldn’t of achieved this without you.

After an extremely difficult time navigating the SEN system , I recieved the required outcome with the support of Beverley Watkins. As others have said in their reviews Beverley is very experienced in the education field and fights for what is right for her clients. Without Beverley's support I wouldn't be starting the placement of my choice nor would I be receiving the required level of support and education ..Thank you so much for the support from Beverley and her amazing team.
