Tesco Express on Melton Road, Leicester, has been convenient for grabbing a few essentials, but I’ve had enough issues with pricing/scanning and change that I feel people should be cautious when paying. If you’re paying with cash, watch your change carefully. On occasion it has felt like you’re being short-changed, and it’s not something you always notice until you’re already out of the shop. Because of that, I’d strongly recommend counting your change at the till before walking away. Also check your receipt before you leave. My father had a situation where one member of staff scanned items multiple times even though he only had one of that product. Mistakes can happen anywhere, but this sort of thing shouldn’t be happening regularly—especially in a small store where purchases are usually quick and straightforward. The shop itself is fine for convenience, but the checkout experience needs tightening up. A bit more care and accuracy at the till would go a long way, because nobody wants to leave feeling like they’ve been overcharged or have to double-check everything after a simple purchase.

I was there to buy groceries where I was at self checkout asked for the help but the lady at the counter was not willing to just provide me even a bag to carry my stuff as she was so reluctant to even help which is definitely here basic job and what she is paid for but unfortunately having such bad experiences are not expected from the staff of Tesco. They need to be trained to behave with customers.

0 star to customer service, the rudest person i have ever experienced with tesco. No, thank you, no, please no sorry instead really high attitude like he owns the shop, suchh a bad experience for the first time. Navigating customer service can be challenging. A positive and respectful interaction can greatly improve the experience for everyone involved. Kindness and understanding go a long way in resolving issues effectively. I hope future interactions bring more positive communication. Remember, courtesy and empathy can create a more pleasant environment for both customers and staff. Specially staff member saji . Creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone is crucial for a good shopping experience.

Odd encounter today. I asked a member of staff if they sold hay-fever tablets. He then said to me "yes inside the shop" in a rude and dismissive manner. Right infornt of security who seemed like he wanted me to react ofcourse I didn't. I went back to the staff member to ask him if he would speak to others like that and he was speechless. I then asked the security is that normal way to speak to customers? No word. I left. Another man was behind me and the security spoke in their language (assuming Punjabi, gujrati or hindi). This happened around 16:25 Sunday 1 Dec. Seems like only certain people get good service and others get spoken to like their intruding into their shop. Big company like Tesco who are nationwide deserve better staff and not selective good customer service.

The staff members exhibit a lack of experience, and they consistently play loud music from a speaker owned by one of the employees ( see pic below). Despite my numerous requests to lower the volume, there has been no response. Additionally, there are always long queues, as only one till is open.

Great little shop just off the main road accessible to all. The store has your basic every day groceries, dairy, frozen etc all stocked. With regular deliveries too they are always in stock of what you need. Despite being a small shop they have enough room for disabled people to move around the store. There is also parking outside the shop. The queues can get rather long at times and no self checkouts means you must wait for a member of staff to serve you.

Great staff ,shame you can't get served , staff watching the queues, chatting away, I have been in 3 or 4 times in a day and every time I've had to put the products back and shop elsewhere , if anything it's good for the other shops that you can get served in.

Awful awful customer service. They are always having full blown conversations . When I asked if they sold a product they said no. I double checked just incase and they did sell it and I told them where it was kept. They need to have more white colleagues in there who understands what products are. They gossip about customers when I have waited in the queue. Parking on site is a nightmare. And I used to come in here to get baking paper which they no longer sell. So end up going to sainsburys to get.

Brought a pizza from the freezer to find one end of the box soggy when I got home. Opened the box and the pizza was broken and completely mushy. I went to the store an hour later and explained this to the lady at the till. She stood there in silence for 10 seconds with a blank face then started discussing this with her colleague in gujarati. Then she shouts across the store to ask another colleague if she should do a refund. Awful customer service to say the least.LEARN HOW TO ACKNOWLEDGE AND SPEAK TO YOUR CUSTOMERS!!!!!
