   No baskets available at the door! Had my grandson in the buggy with me. Started selecting items - asked a member of staff at the end of one of the counters if there were any baskets - he said ask for one at the till. By this point I was struggling to hold everything on top of the buggy & push the buggy NO OFFER TO GET A BASKET FOR ME even though he could see I was struggling. This member of staff walked past me several times and watched me struggle. The manager was at the till, I explained that the member of staff has watched me struggle and not offered to get me a basket. Her response was defensive and she said that they had high theft of baskets which is why they are kept at the till. This is a completely unacceptable response from someone in that position - CUSTOMER SERVICE should be her main concern and is completely lacking in this shop at the best of times but today they were worse than ever.

   The service is so bad and all the 2 girls that work there do is chat on the head set take no notice off any think eles and they wonder y they are always get pepole take stuff as they take note off costumes all they are chat about what there doing or wear on next night out take them 20 mins to serve you then you us self sever then there was a problem they say got to go till and just walk off really bad service

   Today I placed a difficult, last minute order that the top4 food retailers refused to touch. I was served by a great colleague shelly who couldnt do enough. Outstanding customer service with great communication. Couldnt be happier, Great work guys!!

   I visited this store in the morning to purchase cigarettes, it was the first time I picked up cigarettes from this store, so I didn’t think anything of it, the brand I smoke are Benson and Hedges Silver, when I got home I opened them smoked one and it tasted horrible! It didn’t burn or smell right! I got halfway through the cigarette and I had to stop it was terrible! I handed one to my friend who also could taste the difference! It made me feel sick and gave me a terrible headache! This was not something I would expect from what I would consider one of England’s greatest local stores. Co-op are normally amazing I really enjoy the majority of there products and I’ve not experienced any problems from any of the other stores that I visit. Normally I would let this go, but when I went back to the store to inform them of my problem, they didn’t want to know. The woman behind the counter was really helpful, she called for the manager and I really appreciated her cooperation, two supervisors came to the counter, asked what the problem was and brushed it off, stating ‘without a receipt, there was nothing they could do!’ I found it horrifying that I purchased these dodgy cigarettes from there store and they happened to be more concerned about the receipt and not the fact they May be selling a batch of dodgy (below standard, bad quality) cigarettes that could effect the well-being of other customers. I took note of the supervisor names who poorly dealt with my issue and I won’t name them but it’s upsetting the way this incident was dealt with and I expected more from a well established company like the Co-operative considering this is a company which is about the people. This is a warning to anybody that smokes, Smokings bad but to smoke cigarettes that don’t meet UK standards is horrendous!!! Please people keep an eye out for this and let the word get out, there are poor quality cigarettes in circulation please don’t fall victim to this how I have. I’ve been experiencing terrible headaches all day and it left me with a rancid taste in my mouth, that was just after smoking half of one. These cigarettes can be fatal to your health! If anybody from the co-operative comes across this review please for the sake of your reputation, do something about! I won’t let this incident deter me from using the Co-op stores but I’ll think twice about visiting this particular store in the future!!!!

   Tango ice blast needs defrosting ASAP what a joke there well expensive so don’t expect it to have absolutely no flavour to it what so ever. Just moved locally and was so happy when I seen it had tango ice blast machine so pretty annoyed by this. Please get the machine sorted.
