Stark & depressing decor. Lighting, feels like a hospital. Not much variety of stock unless you are looking for white paint. Prices seem good for what they do have. Poor chap on the till was juddering with the cold from automatic doors behind him that had sensors on incoming AND outgoing customers so in December those doors were open frequently. All other staff huddled & giggling in a group at the back of the shop. Not a 'merry' experience so I think I will continue to use their competitors. I thought after decades of research into retail that these sort of places had upped their game or closed down by now.

Two weeks ago I purchased loft legs and a few packs of loft boards to get started with the loft I returned today and the only loft boards they have are of a different profile I asked a member of staff whether they would be getting any of the other boards back and was told that they have only been selling this variety and not chipboard ones However. I rang customer service and after twenty minutes on hold I was told that I should unscrew all of the loft boards that I have fitted and take them back to the shop and get my money back or get replacement boards Not sure how likely that will work as they stipulate that returns must be in original packaging and original condition

I make regular visits here to buy materials. Decent size of car park and most things are easy to find in store. Staff are very helpful and on hand when required. Only problems I've ever had is when stock is located in the warehouse and they're short on forklift drivers, meaning I might have to wait a day or two... Hopefully that's been improved. I've noticed the roof leaks badly on to the shop floor in wet weather - hopefully the premises owner will sort that. Car park does get very busy on weekends and in daytime during the week. Some don't follow the one-way system. It's easier to park this side and walk across to Halfords, Dunelm, etc. I sometimes exit down the right-hand side of Wickes when it's busy (exit only; no entry).

I never appreciated how good the layout, quality, store tidiness and overall service was until we called into B&Q for a change! Here we have friendly staff and customer friendly payment tills, happy with cash, card payments and no customer-repelling self service tills which are clearly inadequate for larger items. Good work staff and management and we won’t be going anywhere else again and please don’t ruin everything by getting rid of the tills!

I wish I never bought a kitchen from Wickes WSM. Any problems after purchase they simply give you a number to call. When you call the number the hold times are 20+ minutes, then when you get through to someone they just say they cannot help. I am left with parts which are damaged and unusable, but the store and customer service refuse to help me. My only option now is to contact my bank as luckily I purchased on my debit card, so I will get some protection. This will take time to resolve with an unfinished kitchen. I wish I had never used Wickes, horrendous customer care or support. I would never use Wickes again.

Extremely poor service pretty much from the outset. We ordered our kitchen in march 22 and arranged for the installation for August. Imagine how happy we were when we found out on the day installation was set to start, Wickes hadn't actually ordered the kitchen. OK so it was then ordered. I was hospitalised at the start of September I contacted Wickes to say there was no point trying to contact me and to contact my wife instead. (I spent 12 weeks in hospital on this occasion). in spite of this they persisted, calling and leaving messages and sending texts, none of which I could access. Even if I could I was in fit state to deal with them. On the date agreed, my wife waited in for the delivery of the flooring and tiles, no show and no call from Wickes. After a day of waiting she called them to be informed it had been cancelled and it would be delivered a week on. The contactor waited in with his labourer for the delivery of the rest of the kitchen. It was a no show. When it did finally arrive it was incomplete, the cooker hood we ordered in March was out of stock. We were given several dates that it would arrive before it finally did: on the 28th of December, nine months after we ordered the kitchen. Ror all this inconvenience Wickes showroom offered £25 as a "goodwill" gesture, (On a £14k kitchen). I got in touch with Wickes customer services. They proved to be just as poor as the showroom going so far as to say the fact that they didn't order the kitchen did not constitue a failed delivery", nor did the ridiculous delay for the cooker hood. Wickes were happy to take our money and quick and slick in the sale, that's where the positive ended, after the initial sale everything else from them was shockingly bad. The poor lad who was booked to do the install acted as middleman, he was outstanding and couldn't do enough to rectify Wickes shoddy approach. they did eventually offer £100 as compensation for the failed deliveries and shoddy service. By this time I was hospitalised again and didn't have the energy to challenge them any more. an example of how little they cared is after a number of email from my hospital bed, explaining I was in a hospital bed, Keanu (customer services) stock email was "hoping I was having a great day". My advice if you're considering buying a kitchen from Wickes is don't

My mother purchased a kitchen from the wsm branch, the kitchen tap broke about 2 weeks after they sent the cowboys over to install the kitchen I won’t even get started on that but all I’ll say is they can’t fit a kitchen, been down to wickes twice in the last 11 months and it’s still not sorted or even a phone call from them! Absolutely disgusting service avoid like the plague. Just an update customer service has still not got back to me after numerous phone calls 7 months later, here is some more photos of their quality work, had to get a painter in to repaint the kitchen due to oven hood fan not being extracted properly and ruined the ceiling

For some reason no copper pipe in stock and none ordered, according to the checkout staff,so a waste of a trip... Another visit and still hardly any stock,no pipe, now no gutter fittings, and nobody seems to care or be interested,as much as I don't like B&Q,Wickes are making us go there ......

Rude delivery staff blocking the road and refusing to move.. You can see in the picture is plenty of space around for them to park without blocking the road
