I had my dog Bear washed and brushed and he throughly enjoyed himself. The ladies were fantastic and clearly love dogs. The service was excellent and very professional, as were the ladies. Fantastic experience.
Not impressed. Staff were hounding us to leave before the store closed. We did not even over stay by two minutes. We were notified by one member, which we respected but the second came a minute later and bellowed the same message. We still walked out with over £115 worth of stuff. Will not do that again.

When I asked for clarification or written confirmation of the policy cited, staff were unable or unwilling to provide it. This is completely unacceptable for a national retailer. If a policy is being used to deny service, it should be clearly displayed, consistently enforced, and verifiable—especially when it affects paying customers. Refusing service without providing written proof or explanation comes across as arbitrary and unprofessional. I expect better from a company of your size and reputation. This experience has caused me to seriously reconsider shopping with Pets at Home infuture, im starting to think that staffs approach to me had more to do with my appearance rather than the actual issue with the company policy. I have been accused of lying to them simply by listening to their advice, I have not changed my story but was simply trying to accommodate fishes needs accordingly.. instead of having pleasant experience, I left disappointed after being accused of lying and animal neglect
Not happy at all with the care of the small animals. I was upset to see a small gerbil chewing and gnawing at the plastic tank it was placed in, I mentioned it a few times, but the staff carried on with whatever they thought takes priority. Not impressed, I refused to buy what I went in there for, and left. Animals of all shapes and sizes deserve better.
The store is great but...... we bought a hamster Feb 2024, he past yesterday. He was born with a kind of cancer. We gave him his best life and let him roam the room freely every evening. We are all broken now but that is not the store but....... your breeding supplier. Please check them and make sure they are being fair to the animals, don't buy cheap to encourage poor standards of breeding just for profits. We as a customer have to live with this heart break.

Was served by a young lady at the till who was so patient and helpful with my purchases . Unfortunately I did not get her name but she was simply super. Helped me sign up for a vip card to save on my purchases. Being not very tech save, she patiently talked me thru the whole process and saved me 10%. Fantastic service and I will definitely be back.
So we came at 6:45pm on Saturday 28/01/2023 and were told at the door store is closed, where as it clearly states stores closes at 7pm.I just wanted a coat for my dog as he was very cold that day. The guy called Kevin at the door was very rude and arrogant and said if you don't leave ill call security. I requested him as i only need a coat will be very quick , he asked me to get out and never return and showed us a middle finger.I had two children with me at that time, could have created a scene,but chose to write this review humbly request pets@home headoffice to looking into this is not acceptable at all.
Professional, polite staff always make customers feel welcome and valued. They are very knowledgeable and will always help guide you to the best product for your pets needs but, at the same time, looking for the best deal that is available. It is always a pleasure to visit.
New store, friendly staff. Only a tad tricky when trying to get cat and dog food when I have the dog with me as the cat food is upstairs which is tricky with a larger dog and arms of stuff to carry as the steps are quite deep and shiny. But store content is great
