   Bought our weekly family shop and went to purchase fireworks with my partner for Bonfire Night. The staff member said she would need to check ID for my partner, not me, and mentioned that the manager might ask for it. My partner provided her ID without any issue, and the colleague initially said I was fine. However, after my partner showed her ID, the same staff member suddenly changed her mind and refused to sell the fireworks to us. I didn’t have my physical ID with me, but I showed clear photos of both my driving licence and passport, along with several bank and credit cards matching my name. I’m 30 years old, with a beard and grey hair — clearly not underage. When I asked to speak with the manager, they arrived and immediately said they wouldn’t serve me because I didn’t have physical ID, without even listening to what had happened. I explained that the colleague had already confirmed I looked well over 25, but the manager was abrupt, dismissive, and unnecessarily rude. Very disappointing experience — especially considering the unprofessional attitude of both staff members and the inconsistency in how the situation was handled.

   Aldi is my preferred local supermarket. It is generally cheaper than other supermarkets, especially the essentials or natures picks ranges. Quality and range tends to be better than Lidl, but similar sorts of stock. This Aldi store has self check out and server tills. The parking is free but there is a 3 hour limit on parking, but should be plenty of time even if going to other stores there.

   Can be busy, within minutes but equally within minutes they efficiently open up more tills and get it all cleared up. Shelves usually stocked up and if not it's because your the day before restock!
