   Pricing on products ARE NOT the same when you get to the till..and if you dare mention it to staff they are rude and dismissive Was my local pet supplies store Not anymore The reply given is a total lie and fabrication avoid this store if they are willing to lie online and willing to insult customers and willing to knowingly sell products not at the advertised price ..why bother supporting them ...

   EDIT: Dec 2023. What a shame I am having to edit this review, with unfortunately, some rather negative feedback. I initially chose Dabners over other pet stores in the area as I wanted to support a local business, rather than a chain. Everything seemed great at first (I have left my original review below so you can see), but after a few weeks, as our Syrian hamster got to full size he stopped using his wheel, which is extremely important for him to get enough exercise, just like in the wild. After further extensive research (I don't know how I missed it before, and accept that responsibility) I learned that the cage and the wheel they sold us from Dabners, along with our Syrian hamster (largest of the hamster species) - therefore they knew fully that these items were intended for him, were way below recommended standards and sizes for him. A too small wheel will eventually give him back problems, and without exercise he can become very unhappy. And the items from Dabners were not just marginally smaller than needed, but almost half the size. It is absolutely shocking that pet stores such as this are willing to sell dangerous equipment for animals, knowing full well the health implications, just to get a sale. I just hope my beautiful hamster hasn't suffered any lasting problems. Original review: What an amazing one-stop shop for all your pet needs. Easily reached in the centre of Croydon, and the staff are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We got this little cutey Syrian hamster today, and everything he could possibly need to live a happy life with us. Also have supplies for cats, dogs, fish, birds, rabbits, and other rodents. Very happy to have this place nearby so we can easily pop down whenever we need to restock on essentials and fun toys/treats. Thank you!

   Went in here for tropical fish after a very bad experience at a popular Streatham Hill pet shop. Wonderful customer service, the man helping us was so kind and polite, gave us excellent advice and we have some happy gouramis and angel fish 5 weeks on. Will be going back for more.

   the place is very bad. I bought some grasshoppers, and the quantity was disgraceful, and the condition was but. The worst thing is that I told him and he can't solve anything for me, not even an apology. pay 3.25 for something lousy .. I do not recommend it

   It’s the only shop near me that does rats for my snake but you can never get them weighed despite them doing it for our friends who also come here. I brought some small rats a couple of weeks ago just before my snake went into shed, I’ve now weighed them and they’re all tiny, the biggest one is 43 grams. We’ve literally been charged extra for weaners, why even have set prices if you don’t go by weight. It’s an absolute joke and I would have to travel an hour away from my house to find another shop that sells them or spend fortunes online for delivery of them. It’s only a decent shop if you have a cat or dog.

   I love this dabners pet shop. Every time I go into the shop the staff are so friendly And helpful. I got my hamster Patches from there and he Sadly passed away now. They always ask about him. Definitely going to get another hamster from them. I recommend if you're thinking of getting your hamster definitely get one from the shop.
