   Arrived to Childs A&E at the Royal with my 28 week old Baby With Breathing difficulty due to a Chest issue - After calling 111 and waiting for a Ambulance got pre assessment Via Facetime was told to go A&E promptly. Explained my baby is at her worst when she is Upset so A Long wait I need to Severely Avoid. On arrival Spoken to Awfully And Giggles from a rude member of Staff As I wasn't Aware to speak to the Check in Lady. Whilst the other one Giggling just sits there doing nothing! Then got told I will be waiting Minimum 4 Hours! Explained the situation No care whatsoever Then was told Only 1 Adult with Child! REDICULOUS Bare in Mind a Asian Family of 5 Just walked straight inside Before me and Sat down.. Nothing said to them! Absolute Shambles A&E Completely packed Rude Staff And No Care From them! Ultimately Left after that Brief encounter! Monitoring her and Booking in to Doctors in AM now - I can't have a Baby Screaming and Struggling to breathe For 4+ Hours!! Absolute Joke Staff clearly Forget who they are Working for Not treated Fairly NHS Service is sadly very Bad and is getting worse as the Days go along

   I got sent to hospital by my GP because they suspected that I had sepsis because my temperature was 39.7. Even when we arrived I was checked in we were treated horribly at the desk and after that when the nurse had checked my temperature and saw my fever they never asked whether or not I had taken any medicine so my fever got even worse to 40.00. We had to wait for over an hour before I’d get seen by the doctor. Once that had happened I was treated horribly by him. He would not listen to me or pay attention to the pain I was in. I refused to give me any antibiotics. He was very arrogant with me and my mother. He sent us home so the next day I had to go back to my GP and I got prescribe antibiotics that the other doctor refused to give me because he didn’t believe me. I was appalled with the way he acted and I will never go back.

   Went down to A & E with a 20 weeks old baby! High fever at 40 degress and frothing at the month! And have up to now been waiting 7 hours! And just keeps being put back in the line. All staff here needs an overhaul and needs new management in! Disgraceful service and not a care in the world for there patients! I will be making a formal complaint.

   Awful my son had major eye surgery it then became infected 6 days post op. Ringing NHS 111 for advice got told to sit and wait for a phone call back from a doctor which never happened. Mean while we took our son down to children's AnE only to sit for hours on end with a little boy who's light sensitive in unbearable pain and has been waiting for over 9 hours just for them to say "Eye casualty is now open" so all night was spent sitting in a relatively quiet AnE, getting fobbed of when you ask what's happening and can I speak to a doctor. Best part is upon getting to "Eye Casualty" where we had to wait another 3 hours. Still no pain relief offered. Upon being seen by the doctor he then admitted him into the hospital due to a catastrophic infection which was in his words " Hours from making him go blind". Leicester royal infirmary is by far one of the worst hospital around. In experienced staff, place is dirty, staff are rude or dont speak English. Just generally a really poor place. If I could generally give this place a minus rating I generally would. As worried parents with a child who's in pain ( which normal calpos and ibuprofen aren't touching) just to be made to sit there for over 12 hours for then a doctor to say that he was hours from going blind. The doctor himself couldn't apologise enough.

   The team were fantastic, working under incredible pressure last night. We waited 4 hours which under the circumstances was not a long time and the care my son received was brilliant. Thank you to all the team. My observation of the patients attending however was not so great, not the majority but some of the parents and children were getting extremely aggregated with staff. My advice would be to make sure you go to A&E well prepared, which obviously isn't always possible. A charger, some form of entertainment tablet/colouring. Take plenty of food and drink and a change of clothes (if you have time). Also calpol and ibuprofen (if your child can have it) saves waiting for your child to get it. Main thing be patient, it is frustrating sitting in the waiting area, there were not enough seats last night. Don't be selfish, help each other out and be patient with the team. They really are doing their best. Thank you again LRI children's A&E.

   Cannot praise the staff enough, I get that had we arrived a few hours later or earlier, may have been a different story, however, what we experienced what nothing short of incredible. Our 6 year old came with severe headaches, poor lad didn't get a chance to play with the Lego he was brought because the staff were completely on it, there wasn't a 2 minute break between someone coming in to do some tests, observations etc, we had to wait for results but, this is A&E in the NHS.. we'd always say more staff, more room, more hospitals even, but today they managed, at least with us, a treatment we're proud of. Thank you NHS.

   My son was very unwell when we visited a&e. We were told he was a priority but even then, the wait time was 6 hours. He was hospitalised immediately after being checked by the doctors. Despite the wait time, the care on the children's ward was exceptional. My son was well-looked after by the entire team. Yes, the wait time is long so come prepared!
