   I wanted to leave a 1-star review, not because I have an issue with the shop itself—staff are generally friendly enough—but because of the checkout experience. Some assistants, particularly one today, scan items at a pace that doesn’t allow customers any time to bag their groceries comfortably. I’ve noticed this happens frequently, and it’s especially concerning when observing older or less mobile customers. For example, I saw an older couple where the wife was in a wheelchair struggling to keep up. Some cashiers are so focused on scanning too quickly—possibly due to pressure from management—that they’re not practicing basic awareness or customer care. Customers shouldn’t feel overly rushed or unsupported at checkout. I think Lidl could improve significantly here. Self-serve options or more attentive checkout assistance would make the experience kinder and more comfortable for everyone. Until then, I’ll likely shop at Aldi which is a further 15 min drive , where self-serve and attentive staff make the process easier and much more considerate. Come on Lidl, you can do better than to pile items up on an elderly couple esp one in a chair. Give people a chance to pack things up.

   Security guard went to man handle my teenager, he had only gone to go and pick something up for me from another isle when the security guard tracked him down and escorted him back to me. When I confronted him and asked him why he’d escorted my son back to me, he just looked at me and said because he was a child. I asked him to elaborate and he just looked at me puzzled. My son is 14! I spoke to manager and he said he’d had multiple people make complaints about the same security guard and assured me he’d be dealt with. I have been in since multiple times and he is still working there and still just as weird staring people out etc

   It's fine. Same as all lidl great bakery items although I get a bit scared who has touched as its self serve.. (go early) lol

   The shopping baskets are disgusting. Loads of caked on dirt/food at the bottom of them. I place two bags from the bakery section on the bottom of the basket to stop any nasties from the basket getting into the food I purchase, especially non-sealed food from the bakery. Queues are always extensive and it appears they make money by not employing sufficient staff. However, the staff that serve are often nice...when launching my shopping at me faster than the speed of sound. I wouldn't recommend if your a stressful person or suffer with anxiety.

   It was very convenient when I stayed at student village nearby. I was shocked that I couldn't get any flat mineral water !! The staff were friendly there !! I bought some tomatoes, lemon, And some bread .I believe.It was very close to Friars walk & student village !!

   A very nice new store. Lots of parking with pod point electric charging faculties in car park. Shop is realy clean and have plenty of space in aisles. Staff were nice and seam to be enjoying work with the new store. First time here and it's pretty quiet but this store has an housing estate near and could be busy peek times
