   Today I encountered a male staff member whose attitude was extremely bad. The customer-facing screen wasn’t switched on, so I couldn’t see any prices. The staff member didn’t tell me the total, and when I asked how much I needed to pay, he was very impatient. Really poor customer service and a very disappointing shopping experience.

   Extremely disappointed after nearly nine years as a loyal Lidl customer. At the Newport Usk Way store, a cashier charged me 13p (on a bill of £97) for a banana my 2-year-old son ate in the store — something that has never happened in over a year of shopping there with him. The cashier also handled my groceries carelessly, stacking produce like a tower rather than bagging it properly. This experience was unprofessional, unfriendly, and made me feel embarrassed over a banana. Lidl has now lost a loyal customer; there are plenty of other supermarkets with better service and respect for families.

   some staff need a refresh on customer service the one Indian guy never says Hi or thanks to me just tells me the price then completely blanks me then says Hi and thanks to the next person thought he might be having an off day but this is constant also one polish ( I believe) woman seems like she couldn’t be bothered to be there not a single smile you can tell by her voice she just seems so fed up not great for your customers I understand the pressures as I work in hospitality myself but you have to treat your customers right a real shame as there are some lovely staff in this store.

   Predictable goods and services as with any Lidl. Staff always pleasant. VERY near to Newport city centre but don't be tempted to use it's free parking for other locations unless you can stick to their parking rules - the time limit penalties are strictly monitored remotely.

   The store, the range etc all perfectly fine. I understand how their business works re staffing/tills open etc, however my god it can annoying when you're the last in the queue and it's not enough of a queue to open another till and you're stood there with 3 items but in front of you customers have trolleys full.... I just wish this store had self serve like other lidl's that I've been to. I'd probably come here a lot more often then too
