Appalling customer service. Left completely unattended for a session and told it was my own fault! My 4th week - I asked if I could attend a different group later in the week as I was busy moving house. The owner wouldn't let me, so I turned up and got in the water with the rest of the group as I had done for the last 3 weeks. I was left completely unattended as groups moved off with different coaches, nobody spoke to me through the whole session, so naturally I felt unsafe and uncoached which isn't what I signed up for. I tried to let the owner know following this. Expected an apology and to be told it would be looked into. No word of a lie - she told me it was my own fault for being rude and having bad manners - she was on holiday, the office is closed, my coach doesn't like me anyway and that she didn't see any need to rectify anything. Honestly gobsmacked by how rude and evil the owner is - which as I said, is a shame because my coach was nice when she was there. Should have listened to the other google reviews which say how rude and lacking in empathy the owner is. Avoid at all costs.

Can’t pass comment on the quality of the lessons, as I am unable to participate in any. However, I can confirm that (1) night worker shift patterns will render you de facto ineligible for their services as they refuse to accommodate alternate weekly availability (2) YOUR attitude will be the issue, not their sheer intransigence. Avoid tbh

Terrible customer service. Rude and unprofessional. I 100% agree with Bilal. I’ve registered my child with a different provider, with better customer service skills and feedback. Update: my child hated swimming lessons for the 14 months we stayed with start2swim and languished at level 1. We took him out of start2swim and registered him with active Leicester 3.5 months ago and he’s now progressed to level 3, and earning the level 2 badge in 2 months! He loves swimming lessons now.

This is the worst people who provide swimming classes. Don’t send your children there!! Apart from learning a lot of kids together in the pool for 30mins only and the actual learning time for each child is not more than 10 mins but the big issue is management. I booked 10 weeks of swimming classes and on the last day my 4 years daughter joined the class and after 5 mins they inhumanly pulled her out of the pool because (according to the manager said) her classes were finished one week ago!! I showed them all evidence and the text messages that they sent to me confirming the booking showing the first day of the course and they just deny all of it. Just imagine that a small kid pulled out of the pool while she is happy and excited to do this activity. My daughter cried in front of them watching me trying to prove that this was her last week and they never care about her emotions and what she is feeling. She continued to cry even when we left the pool. Even though I have paid the whole course fee but I informed the manager that I’m ready to pay any additional cost for today’s class just to let my daughter not feel bad and stop her crying but she (the manager) refused and she is watching her crying!! I begged her but she showed no mercy. That is normal for people who are thinking only about money especially when she asked me to pay now again a fee for a full course and she then will let her join the class immediately!! Funny … I already paid and that was her last class!!! Please don’t let these people inhumane your kids by joining their swimming classes. I’m ready to show all evidence and I will the legal procedures with them to make sure that they will never do that again and break children's hearts.

Very good instructors and a friendly team of staff. I have made very good progress in a relatively short space of time. Highly recommended.

My daughter (7) absolutely loves her swimming lessons, tutors are always show her lots of interest, Saturday mornings are now her favourite time of the week, also she has come on leaps and bounds considering she was always nervous of water and now wants to swim at any opportunity! Highly recommend Start2Swim, great location too - easy to get to.

Positives: Alice, my son's tutor was amazing and had bolstered his swimming confidence in a few short lessons. she's to be commended as she's fun and engaging. If you ever get her teaching your kiddos, they'll benefit well. Decent enough city centre location. Negatives: General lack of empathy / compassion. Staff at the pool were rude. Would only allow a 4 month old baby 5 minutes to be ready to swim. When queried with the Start2Swim staff, it was due to covid restrictions. Whilst understandable in current climate, it's not reasonable or practical to only allow 5 minutes for a baby that young to be ready. I have to walk 40 minutes to the leisure centre so can't change baby into their swim gear before hand. According to the Start2Swim staff member I spoke to "Other mother's with babies manage".. Not every baby is the same, not every mother is superwoman. There's only 1 baby changing cubicle which is often taken up by people without babies and the other changing cubicles are too narrow to safely change a baby. Overall I wouldn't recommend Start2Swim. For babies, your money is better placed with a swim school like Splash Babies

I love the swimming lessons and some of the trainers are very good But, all learn2swim care about is teaching children to swim. I have swimming lessons every saturday morning. And now the classes are overcrowded. I requesed more space for adult learners and the response was "we are doing adult learner a FAVOR providing classes on saturday mornings". So, even if I pay the same amount of money as other members, adult learners have to compromise. Half hour lessons, not worth as most of the time you don't have enough space to learn.
