We recently attended the Springboks vs Wales match at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, and the experience was nothing short of incredible. The stadium itself is impressive, but it’s the energy inside that truly makes it special. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was electric β€” the kind of vibrant, passionate crowd that gives you goosebumps before the match even begins. The mix of Welsh and South African supporters created an exciting and friendly rivalry in the stands. Every try, every big tackle, every swing in momentum was met with a roar that felt like it shook the entire stadium. It’s rare to be part of a crowd that’s so lively yet so respectful and united in their love of the game. The pre-match build-up, the singing, and the sheer volume of support from both sides made the occasion unforgettable. Whether you’re a die-hard rugby fan or just there for the big-match experience, the Principality Stadium delivers something truly special. A fantastic venue, an incredible atmosphere, and a crowd that made the day one to remember. Highly recommended for any major rugby event!

This must be one of the greatest rugby stadiums in the world for its atmosphere and hospitality. The Welsh people are absolutely beautiful thank you for hosting us. The online ticketing makes entry so much easier than normal. That huge roof that closes when it’s raining or cold makes for some of the greatest audio visuals on the ears. Blown away, we will be back next year.

Watched the rugby test match between RSA and Wales. Friendly, helpful staff and beautiful atmosphere. Would have been nice of the DJ to play some African music as well but overall, a good experience

Wanted to watch a game here for years. Finally watched the Wales vs All Blacks game. Roof was out. Atmosphere was really good. The process of getting into the stadium was smooth and queues for drinks at the bars were reasonable and moved quick. There were plenty of toilets and they were clean. The staff that worked there were friendly. Was really impressed with the lighting especially during the Haka. Would definitely come back here.

Such an iconic stadium, right in the middle of Cardiff City. Excellent atmosphere, and completely filled to capacity of almost 75,000 the day we were there - Ireland v Wales for the first round of the 2023 6 Nations Rugby. The roof was closed, which made it an almost surreal experience - such a big place, but felt like a much smaller venue - view was perfect, which I expect everyone in the stadium would say. Easy to get into & out of stadium, with plenty of access to food & drink locations.

One of the best stadiums in the UK. Entry into the venue was quick and easy, even with thorough security checks. The only issue I had on the date of my visit was that the concessions stands around block U17-U22 had all run out of food within an hour or two of opening. The event ran from 1500-2200. I would recommend a visit here, especially during a Welsh Rugby game as the atmosphere is hard to match. The national anthem is definitely worth witnessing in person.

Had a brilliant time at the Speedway. All the staff were really helpful and lovely to deal with. Water fountains inside - no bottles allowed in, had to leave plastic bottles at security, but was asked to take my refillable bottle in, but had to empty. Card payment at the bar.

Great stadium for a gig! It's so big it's easy to move around without getting squished. The staff were all very friendly and the place seemed pretty clean. Would love to go on a rugby match day, I've heard the atmosphere is immense!

PRINCIPALITY STADIUM TOUR COMES HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! So, I couldn’t catch a game because Rugby season is over, but on my latest trip to Cardiff – I ended up doing the tour at the Principality Stadium (aka the Millennium Stadium). It definitely comes recommended. The guy we got (Hugh) was very interesting and very well spoken for a Welshman (educated at Rugby School). It was really interesting from start to finish, and you got to see all the parts of the stadium you could possibly want. From the very highest seats, to pitch-side. To the changing rooms, tunnel and royal box. There’s lots of interesting memorabilia around too! If you wear an England shirt like I did – you get a bit of light-hearted ribbing but it’s all good fun. Overall, for Β£16.50 – it’s definitely worth the money, as it lasts about 90 minutes. Would love to catch the next Six Nations match here, probably against England.
