   DO NOT stay here. The place is beautiful and upto standards but the owner was disgraceful. We arrived in Huddersfield from Manchester for my husband’s birthday celebrations. When we arrived there was nobody at the property to help us get in we had to call the owner to arrange us getting in the building to our room. Shortly after we arrived we decided to fill the jacuzzi and by our mistake we only filled it with the hot tap and it steamed up the entire apartment causing the smoke alarm to go off around the building. I also have video evidence of this happening as again no one was around to help us turn it off we knocked on the office door downstairs no response my husband managed to figure it out himself and get the fire alarm off. We carried on our evening and the steam cleared from the room finally but around an hour later the owner turned up banging furiously on our door. I opened the door and he barged in saying who is smoking we were pretty in shock at his approach considering I am 8 months pregnant he was really aggressive. We were so confused firstly I don’t smoke and secondly my husband would never dream of smoking around me whilst pregnant. We tried to convince the owner it really was the steam that caused the smoke alarm to go off we even shown him the video evidence we had of it happening and that no one was around to help us as we thought someone was in the office downstairs. The owner tried to tell me to either pay £100 for damages or he was phoning the police for us to leave we was like excuse me for what damages. What is damaged it was a little bit of steam that caused the alarms to go off mistakenly by us because we did not shut the bathroom door he just kept saying I have come all the way here from a family meal and you have been smoking in the room he was really unreasonable wouldn’t listen to a word we was saying wouldn’t believe that it wasn’t smoke even though we had a video to prove it was the steam. Disgusting customer service. Wanted £100 compensation for coming away from a family meal. When we arrived at the place we noticed that previous customers had burned the window ledge with a candle and the property owner had hidden it with an ornament and since us being kicked out and demanding a refund as we drove all the way from Manchester and forced to leave unfairly we were in the right to ask for a refund as we had not damaged anything the owner is now trying to lie and say we did that as well. Absolutely disgusting and I have had so many people asking where we were staying as we promoted their property as it was so lovely but the owner was a disgrace. I have told everyone and will continue to now after the encounter we had. Instead of the owner admitting he was wrong and apologising to us he just kicked us out and continued to lie because we wouldn’t pay him another £100. Seriously do not bother at all you will be robbed of your money by the made up lies of this owner. We are absolutely gutted that my husbands birthday was ruined and was forced to drive all the way back to Manchester for something we didn’t even do but I certainly wasn’t paying them £100 just because he had to drive away from a family meal because of steam that filled the room trying to rob more money from us. They are clearly con artists who will accuse you just to get more money out of you. The owner has lied and conned his way into justifying forcing us to leave and will continue to say anything to justify his disgusting actions. I have also read reviews from others of the same nature and you will too if u read up they too called him a liar and a thief for lying that they broke something when it was already broken in the room. Vile human being. STAY AWAY.

   Stayed in the bigger of the apartments (top floor). A few ‘cons’ of note… there were no instructions for how to check in or how to operate anything. The floors were pretty uneven, including about 1-2 inch difference between hallway and bathroom. The bath panel also wasn’t flush and signs of damp although was well looked after. Amenities were good, the quality of all the decor was great. Blinds needed some fixing. Bed was very comfy, everywhere was very clean. Bath tub was really big and worked well. Couch was good too. Overall was pretty good, would recommend / stay again.

   Rooms were absolutely amazing .Spotless and beautifully decorated. The main reason we choose this apartment was for jacuzzi. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. Limit amount of hot water. We had to boil water in kettle and pans to fill the bath.

   Perfect spot for couples. We’ve been here twice now and both times felt at luxury. The manager is very responsive and quick to resolve any issues which may occur. Would definitely recommend.
