We attended their Halloween family day event. It was excellent. We arrived at 10.30 and didn’t leave until closing at 3pm. The show was great for kids we watched it twice! Staff were amazing and friendly. Had a great day for a really reasonable price. Going to book for Xmas experience. Thank you for a great day
We had an absolutely brilliant time at Fonmon Castle’s Halloween event! The atmosphere was great, there were lots of spooky decorations, friendly staff, and lots of fun activities for all ages (we visited with my 3.5 year old and 1.5 year old). My boy loved the haunted trail and storytelling areas, and the actors were fantastic, enthusiastic, funny, and great at getting everyone involved without being too scary for the little ones. I highly recommend Fonmon Castle’s Halloween event for families.
What a lovely place to visit plenty of walks around the grounds, we spent over 3 hours with my grandson who is 3 and he loved it from seeing all the dinosaurs and playing in the sand and the parks a really nice place, I would recommend you take food with you as there was only 2 choices of sandwiches and 2 different wraps, they also sell hot and cold drinks and snacks. Really good value for money I would say aimed more towards the younger children.
Lovely visit. Went on father's day so it was free for dads. Very nice . Lots to see and do . Archery and axe throwing, loads of dinosaurs. A few of which move and roar. Beautiful gardens and a wonderful woodland story walk where you can meet witches and see dragons and see where fairies live ! A nice adventure playground! The castle is very nice, and open for a walk around. There is also a cafe inside. Great for children who love dinosaurs and great for parents and grandparents looking to be young again.
We came here for the christmas light trail and it was lovely! On entry the staff greeted us and gave us a map and directions, they were very friendly. We were unable to explore the castle due to health and safety as it was dark when we came but there was still plenty to see. We even met the wizard He's awesome and great with the kids! My grandaughter loved him and even gave him a cuddle! Mrs Claus had her own little hut with a sneezing dinosaur that blew foam over the kids and they loved it! There are also huge dinosaur figures and a little owl home with a lovely guy who cares for them. I will definitely return here in the day time to explore it more, we really did have a wonderful time, I would recommend this place highly.
What a great day out we had here. Staff were super friendly. The grounds are huge. Kids loved the Dinosaurs trail and all the Dino related features. The medieval village was great fun and they got to hold an Owl. Plenty of places for a packed lunch but also some food to order if needed. Nice play areas as well. Brilliant day. Kids can’t wait to go back.
We had a brilliant day out here, four adults and 2 kids (8 and 1). So much to do! We definitely didn't do everything but we loved everything we did see. A huge shout-out to the two people on the gates with dinosaur dungarees (I've forgotten your names sorry!) We got the warmest welcome and then another lovely chat as we left. You can tell they are really proud of Fonmon Castle so we really want to recommend that you visit! Food was delicious, really good quality and freshly cooked (salads fresh from the walled gardens). The castle itself is like being at a National Trust property - beautiful grounds and gardens. You definitely must go!
Such a lovely day out with the kids, lots to see and do. Some very steep paths and bits that aren't buggy-friendly but lots of alternative routes and flat areas. Food hall is great quality but could do with better choice. Really missing a trick not having more little food/drink stalls around - we were thirsty down by the pirate play, on the woodland walk. Staff were lovely and friendly everywhere. Excellent space to bring a picnic from home. Really worth the money, will be back!
Really lovely day out for my three children aged 2,5 and 8. Very good customer service everyone was welcoming and informative. We really enjoyed the fairy tail story and the dinosaurs. Plenty to keep you busy with playgrounds as well. We took a picnic but lots of places to buy food and eat your picnic indoors if the weather was bad. We had a buggy and most of the grounds were accessible although some steep walks and steps.
