We booked a four bedded room for an overnight stay as walking through Hebden Bridge to Haworth Communication was really clear and we found our way in easily following instructions sent before We were visiting in december so it was quiet but there seemed to have plenty of space even for a busier time The kitchen was well equipped as expected and we really appreciated the tea/coffee and even breakfast cereal There is plenty of room for four with a shared toilet and shower both separate within the room The upstairs bunks are quite high up ! On a mezzanine but thats means you all get a full single bed

Have stayed here numerous times, having walked the Calderdale Way this year. Also do an annual autumn walk among the beautiful sylvan scenery of Hardcastle Crags and Nutclough woods. The hostel is very clean and in a beautiful sylvan location, perched on a hill above the town centre. It's good value, in my opinion, especially as there's a 'Hebden Bridge tax' on many things in this charming little town. There's no on-site service as such, but everything is provided anyway. The kitchen is large and well-stocked and I love the little lounge/common room at the end of the corridor. Just be careful if taking a shortcut up the cobbled snickets/ginnels on the way up/down as they are very slippy after rain, especially with the autumn leaves dotted about!

ALWAYS FAB! We have now stayed here twice, such a glorious location and a really solid/kind and well maintained lodge. I think communal spaces reflect the values of the place itself and everyone is kind and respectful within shared spaces. I love all the quirky bits of arty props and promo pictures of plays/performances, gives the whole place a really nice energy! Trying the silent disco next time!

This was a great place to stay with 2 nice lounge areas, one a snug with a wood burner and the other a socal lounge with headphones for silent disco. The location was great and very close to the centre but is up a hill. Rooms were well put together and slept like a log

Such a great find!! A lovely hostel in a beautiful setting. It’s a great price, we opted for a private room, that has a toilet & shower.. it’s a simple & basic, but that’s fine. Will definitely return one day!

Stayed with hubby for one night. It's a bit of a climb up a steep hill but worth it. The welcome was good we were shown round the kitchen etc. The bedroom was basic with a double and a single bed toilet and shower. The Bed was very comfortable. This was my first time in the hostel but the second time for my hubsand.

Stayed one night in Hebden for a gig at the Trades Club and the Hebden Bridge Hostel was a dream. Everything you could need in a peaceful, homey setting. The hostel was practically empty when I stayed so it really felt like I had the whole place to myself which is great if you like peace and quiet! Didn’t realise it was at the top of a steep hill, but I won’t complain about a bit of accidental exercise! Thanks Jill.

Lovely place, spotlessly clean rooms, nice kitchen facilities (PS. It's vegetarian so they don't let you cook meat there!) and charming friendly staff. The only small niggle was that the extractor fans weren't working. Highly recommended!

On arrival we were greeted and shown around the hostel by a friendly woman. Parking is right outside the building but up a long-ish flight of stone steps. The car-park was pretty much full (just one space left!) as there appeared to be some sort of band practice at the building next door? This could have been a problem had the single spot not been available as there's nowhere else obvious to park! Inside, the shared lounge is warm, spacious and comfortable. The shared kitchen well equipped with two cookers and three fridges where you can store your fresh food. Plenty of utensils, crockery, glasses, cutlery, pans etc. The building as a whole is modern and decor basic. We chose a room with four single beds that you can hire for one, two, three or four people. Two normal beds and two high up on a mezzanine type floor. 'Would be great for four mates sharing or two couples who get on well! (You get the room to yourself, you don't share with strangers!!) The room was clean and functional with a little toilet room off, another little shower room, and in the main room a partitioned off basin area and separate small desk area. Some hangers and hooks. Enough storage under beds and in the area by the door. The heating is a gas-fired radiator which seems to be pre-set at a low-level that you can't turn up, but it was high enough to keep the room comfortable although not toasty. The beds were comfortable and there appeared to be extra bedding in drawers under the bed. It was very cold outside but we were warm enough during the night. The blackout blinds to all windows were nice as they helped me sleep. At night it was quiet both outside and within the building so we slept well. Some noise once it gets to about 7am with people going up and down for breakfast. Overall it is a budget accommodation and the compromise is on decor throughout, which is fine for us as all the essentials are met and we were mostly out anyway. The building is a 5-10 minute walk from the town and we passed the Coop on the way back from the pub which is useful for nibbles! A word of warning, the building is up a very steep hill! We're fairly fit so it didn't bother us too much, but if you've had a night out and ready to crash it's something you should mentally prepare yourself for! Overall we're happy with our stay. and would recommend. For the money you really can't expect anything more. (Maybe add a kettle and mugs to each room so you can make a brew without having to go to the kitchen?)

Very pleasant stay, everything you could possibly need. Great use of space in the room allowing for toilet and shower to be in the room. Jill was very friendly and helpful and of course the dog was lovely!
