   We went here for our wedding meal and had a lovely experience. Staff were so friendly and helpful the whole time we were there. We felt very relaxed and taken care of. They made our experience feel really special! The food was also lovely and cooked perfectly, with a good menu with plenty of options. The hotel room was very clean with nice views of the surroundings. Water bottles and milk were included in the fridge, and tea & coffee. Very nice peaceful location. The only downside was the bed was rather uncomfortable which made it hard to sleep.

   Not from area so location was good not too far from my base. There is NOTHING convenient around the hotel so if no car then make sure to get whatever you need before getting to hotel. Saying that the bar/restaurant is great. The food I must say is fabulous. Really well cooked with nice flavours running through. The staff were very helpful and friendly. No lifts so beware small staircase to wind up with a case. Room: took a while to jiggle the door key in the lock to open/close each time. Room was very basic,and not a view to write home about (mine was front car park/main road). Room and bathroom were clean. Slightly chilly and a small breeze can through even though windows shut. Managed to clip curtains together to stop that. Heating was nice till it went off around midnight and I had to get up to toggle the knob a couple of times to kick it back on through the night which was annoying. Bed did feel like a slab of concrete for me. Not I. A rush to go back for the sleep but fine for the food.

   We had a beautiful Christmas party here. We were greeted at the door and directed to out glass of fizz. We waited in the lovely bar area to be taken to our table. The meal was lovely. We had a 3 course set menu and each course was delicious. A thoroughly enjoyable night.

   We booked a meal for 16 of us for a Saturday evening (2 birthdays). Pre order was made which was expected. We had a fantastic time, the food was amazing, everyone got what they ordered and everyone was pleased with their order. The staff were attentive, polite and professional. We will definitely return. Thank you so much and would definitely recommend.

   I made a booking by mistake for one night at the wrong date and went to the hotel in person shortly afterward to cancel it. I explained the situation to the front desk staff and was told not to worry. That the reservation would be canceled and I’d be refunded. I specifically asked about the refund and was assured once again that there was nothing to worry about. I asked for a confirmation by email, and was promised one. However, the hotel now decided not to refund the booking. Despite my immediate communication and their verbal commitment. The email they sent as a confirmation only states the cancellation, but doesn't mention anything about refunding. The hotel staff now tells me that I have no written proof of their promise to refund me. So, they chose not to honor what was promised. Very disappointed with the lack of integrity and customer service. I would not recommend this place based on how they handled a simple and honest mistake.

   We booked here for our Mother's Day meal and were extremely impressed. The staff were lovely and the service was second to none. We haven't had a 3 course meal of such high quality in a very long time, the food arrived in good time, was very well presented and hot. Will definitely be recommending.

   After many years (apart from Covid)of saving through the year to traditionally eat out avoid buying, cooking, washing up etc on Christmas Day we eventually managed to book Badgers Mount (always fully booked previously) We now know why. I can not remember another Christmas Day lunch anywhere over the years that was as good. Absolutely 1st class food cooked and presented beautifully. Outstanding service by all staff with Christmas humour and fairy light decor. All in my party agreed it was "spot on " so well done all many thanks. A Christmas lunch to remember we will be back 100%. Happy New Year P.S. Bonus being able to watch the Kings speech on t.v after in the bar Perfect

   Great service, fabulous food very accommodating staff. Went today with a disabled lady in wheelchair. Really good experience. Food was excellent quite busy which is to be expected with such a nice place, staff knew when to attend table so didn't disturb conversation. Prices only a little more than we would normally pay, portion sizes for main meal were really good, offer of additional veg not needed. Good selection of wines. Definitely be going back here. Pre ordering necessary. We didn't stay in one of the rooms, we went for a festive Sunday lunch with people who regularly stay at the hotel and are frequent visitors.

   It's good for short stay. For one or two nights. Room heater available. Breakfast is good. It is a la carte and not buffet type. Dinner is also good. Room is serviced everyday. You don't get to put do not disturb on the door. Thin walls sometimes was noisy at night. One morning there was no electricity in the room and I had difficulty getting ready in the dark. It's an old hotel building. Come with less expectations. I struggled with getting hot water in the shower. The shower door was slightly broken. Old type of plumbing which is annoying. Parking is on gravel ground.

   Came as part of a large group for their Christmas Fayre Menu. Staff were lovely and food was exceptional really well presented and tasted great. Will definitely be coming back.
