Working in the area and work put me up. Room stinks of stale cigarette smoke, as do the sheets. The floor is covered in stains, the mattress is non existent and the place is very outdated. Grim is an understatement. Do not recommend unless you are 40 cigarette a day smoker, with no hygiene standards.

Reception is nice and clean, rooms are.more like chalets. They are very dated and not the. Cleanest. Our pillows smelt like stale smoke and the room had a damp smell. Very dull and uninviting. We had pre added breakfast, no staff member acknowledged us as we entered ate or left. On our way back to our room, the staff were smoking as they were sorting linin to clean rooms. This explains the smell. For non smokers this is horrible to try and sleep with stale smoke smell.

Sheets wasn't clean had marks so used other bed but wasnt a nice thought I turned the sheets over in the bed I used just incase was glad my pajamas were winter ones as a barrier. Carpet was dirty as was the floor in bathroom. I turned the tap on too fast as had high pressure, water went over the basin so I used the towel to mop up and the towel was then filthy. I know it's a 2 star hotel just a place to shower and sleep but was dirty made me feel itchy. One of the neighbours were inconsiderate and played loud music that sounded like my old washing machine before I replaced it. One good thing was staff seemed friendly so 3 for service but cleaning crew 0. Free wiFi and parking. I liked what they was doing with the American style rooms could be really good. Lesson learned to pay a bit more for a room next time. Would advise a friend to look elsewhere. I chose because of the location, (near where I had a booked appointment,) price and free parking. Was glad was only one night.

Polite and helpful staff, which made the stay pleasant overall. However, the hotel doesnβt quite meet the usual Ibis standard β the carpet is noticeably worn, and the bed feels overused. Still, the room was tidy and clean, which is what matters most. The surroundings are nice and peaceful, and for the price, itβs a fair and convenient choice for a short stay.

Stayed here last night to break up a long journey home from France. It certainly isn't somewhere I'd want to stay if looking for anything special but the young guy in reception was friendly and helpful. The location is brilliant and very secure with railings all the way round with electric gates to enter. We had a downstairs room as we had dogs this is perfect. Lots of parking and quiet. Beds very comfortable and clean. Rooms a bit dated and peeling but I chose not to look too closely. Got to be honest the food wasn't good. We had fish and chips and I think it was some sort of flat fish in breadcrumbs and not good. Very basic, you could smell the kitchen and the cooking oil didn't smell fresh. Restaurant and bar basic but clean. We were happy with prices. Didn't try the breakfast, other than toast and coffee which was good. No sockets worked in the room, we were offered another room but we were already in bed when we noticed and too tired to be bothered. Not sure why the fuse couldn't be reset but was told it wasn't possible. All this said, we would stay again in the same situation because it suited what we needed but we wouldn't eat there.

What excellent value for money. Far exceeded my expectations. Staff very friendly and helpful, the room small and basic. But everything you need, spotlessly clean. The breakfast was very good and plentiful. Looking forward to my next stay.

Rooms are basic but functional, twin single beds I assume with the ability to become a double bed. Shower over bath with a sink and toilet. Free WiFi with excellent speed. There is a restaurant and the food smells nice and also a bar. Location is a little out of the way to find just by postcode.

Stayed at the Ibis Coventry South for work-very handy for central Coventry. The staff were really polite and helpful, and Steve in particular was great in fixing the lock on my door! The hotel itself could do with a bit of TLC but you cannot fault the staff at all, excellent service.

Good location. The rooms are a little small but manageable when we come here for a day or two on business. The hotel staff is friendly but one of the managers who is at the front desk talks quite rude.
