Just kids on the counter chatting away no one wants to help you. Stood talking while there’s a massive we don’t know what work is if it hit them in the face! Shocking service wouldn’t normally leave a reviews but manager is just a child herself and hasn’t a clue
Why do sports shops insist on playing music that is unlistenable, if you can call it music I hasten to ask, I experienced this here today, it was disgustingly horrible. I tried looking for some walking shoes but the noise emitting from the sound system made me leave the shop, it’s not necessary in any way. Music doesn’t help you choose anything, it’s distracting and off putting. If the music put me off, the prices certainly did. I won’t be going back again.
I came in to try some shoes today and spoke to a worker of the name joseph. He was very accommodating and patient, helping me find different styles I was looking for and recommending others with great knowledge! Happy to see that JD are hiring more upbeat and respectful workers.
Waited 10 minutes to collect an order. Several staff on shop floor but 2 on the checkout who is clearly struggling to cope with number of people waiting to pay of collect. False nails aren’t helping either! Waiting another 10 minutes & nobody brought my order yet. Been told 24 hour orders may not have arrived yet, but I got text yesterday saying it had arrived. 23 minutes & im done!
If I could give a zero… Was advised in store to get 4.5 instead of 5 trainers and I ended up with mortans neuroma because they turned out to be too tights and was misadvised. Their returns policy is not really customer focused and complaints are a waste of time as you don’t get any compensation nor will I get a refund or exchange for trainers which are of no use to me. Appalled. Think twice before you buy and clearly don’t listen to advice and go with your own judgement
Rang this morning and spoke to a person called Cody/Coby. He couldnt've been more helpful. Quite refreshing.

Staff doesn’t respect the customers. They assisted any person then i was still asking about the product. No greetings at all. They dont even have the product i wanted.
Extremely rude staff the manager swears at children absolutely discusting. Won't be using jd Kingsgate again complaint made she is definitely bringing the store down
