Ideally situated for Cardiff Airport,we have stayed here before and it is a very clean hotel with very friendly staff.The beds are comfortable and we have a great wet room.There is always plenty of coffee ,tea and milks and reception has more
Great place to stay, no nonsense, clean , easy to find. Clean and staff friendly. If there had been a suitcase unit, it would be a good value for money room. I hate having to put my suitcase on the floor, personal choice. Highly recommend.
The room was clean and quite spacious. The shower needed more power but it did the job. Very quiet even though there were plenty of others staying. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful. I witnessed above and beyond kindness to other guests.
Stayed here for 3 night from the 28th of July 2025, was made welcome from a lovely guy called CHRIS who assigned us room 103. I've stayed in many 5* hotels in America, Asia and Europe, and although this was a budget hotel CHRIS was by far the best front of house staff we ever encountered. Throughout our stay CHRIS was so helpful for any information we required and couldn't help us enough. We came as guests and left as friends. Thanks CHRIS.
Very good value for money and excellent customer service. We came back from our flight and checked in 3:30a.m. The reception let us in very quick and welcomed, giving us all the info we required. On checkout they went above and beyond giving us some tips for local area and advice. The room was clean, basic and what you would expect. Very pleased. The staff were excellent.
Stayed here for one night and very satisfied. The room was large, comfy and clean. The staff were amazing, was greeted by Chris who couldn't do enough to help. He was very polite and professional, providing an iron hairdryer and extra towels upon request. The rooms were so warm too. I recently stayed at a hotel in Cheltenham where the Central heating was 18 degrees and controlled by reception; at this travelodge the heating was managed in the room which made such a difference. There is a huge car park and a Toby Carvery in the grounds - easy access to M4. The staff I met, Chris and Dawn made such a lasting impression, I would definitely book to stay here again.
What a great place to stay. We stayed three days and we're delighted. Chris welcomed us at reception and was excellent, very professional and friendly. He was able to answer any questions and made us feel at home. In fact, all the staff, Chris, Dawn, Josh and Natalie was all outstanding and nothing was too much trouble. The room was spacious and modern. The bathroom was large and everything was immaculately clean and functional. The hotel was quiet and we slept well. The location was very good for us with easy access to Cardiff and Barry. The price was extremely reasonable and as a result we didn't expect too much however this hotel warrants a far higher rating than it has. We've stayed in far more expensive places which weren't a patch on this Travelodge. A big thank you to all the staff for making it a very pleasant and memorable stay. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
We recently stayed at the Travel Lodge and from the moment we arrived we received excellent customer service. The man who checked us in was extremely friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The rooms were very secure, because entrance to each level required a key fob. Maybe this is a safety measure that could be rolled out across all Travel Lodges. Our room was very spacious and was immaculately clean. There was a large walk-in shower, the bed was comfortable and there was tea and coffee making facilities in the room. We will definitely be staying again because we were made to feel welcome, there was a large free carpark, there was a Toby Carvery next door, our stay was comfortable and the room was very good value for money.
I booked here as it was cheaper than other well known chain hotels. I thought it may have been not as nice because I'd booked on the cheap, but I was nicely surprised! Plenty of parking on arrival. I was seen to straight away by Josh at the front desk, who was very helpful. Our room was spotless and nicely decorated. The bed was comfy and I got a good night sleep, which is something special for me!! I needed a hairdryer in the morning and asked at the desk if they provide them, where I was promptly given one. I cannot fault this Travelodge and would definitely use again if staying in the area.
I'm giving it a top rating from my previous visits but sadly it is not open to the public at this time, therefore I was unable to book to stay. I am told, by a member of the team that they have been given over, via a government contract, to house non paying guests until the end of March 2023 and when the contract ends the hotel will need a complete refurbishment!! Sad as was a great place to stay.
