“Great friendly local(ish) pub. Our son lives in Barry and we often visit and meet at this pub, often with our other son and granddaughters. Food lovely, good selection of drinks, what more could you want??? Plus A decent vegetarian selection for my daughter in law!”

“Frank and Narla had a two week stay with Puss in Rhoose. All of our cats medication needs were met and our two were allowed to share a suite. They had the choice of both indoor and outdoor space which they could mooch in and out of depending on their mood. Both spaces are very hygienic and the food is supplied unless like us your cat has dietary needs which Donata was happy to use our own. Thank you for looking after our moggies and I would highly recommend this place......for cats obviously.”

“Everything in the apartment you need, staff who run it are exceptional! So very helpful currently in Zebulun suite which we have found a little small for a family of three, more suited to a lone visitor or couple, that said we will certainly be coming back we will just ensure we book a bigger suite, location is excellent, plenty of shops in easy walking distance, and as I said the staff could not be more helpful , exceptional service throughout”

“I came all the way from Manchester for my hair transplant with Dr. Ted Miln and needed a place to stay nearby. I was tired from the journey, so this place was absolutely perfect. The clinic recommended it, and it turned out to be one of the best places I’ve stayed in. Getting in and out was super simple and convenient with the passcode they sent. I was gutted to miss out on the restaurant since it was closed on Monday and Tuesday, but I’ll definitely try to dine in next time I visit when it’s open. The room had everything I needed — very comfortable, with great showers, and I really loved the interior. It was exactly what I needed to rest and recover after the procedure. The location is ideal too: just a 5-minute walk to the Co-op and a 5-minute drive to the clinic. I could see my car from my room, and the place felt safe and secure. Overall, one of the best places I’ve stayed in. Highly recommend!”

“this was a lovely place to stay in barry island. it’s in a convenient location right next to the train station and not far from the beach. the rooms were lovely and clean and accommodating with a tv with ITVX so we could tuck in and watch love island without any ads, which ended our night perfectly. the beds were super comfy it felt like i was sleeping on a cloud. the next morning we were greeted by Lyndon who made an excellent breakfast (all included in the price) and was very welcoming throughout our stay. we would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting barry island due to its convenient location and the b&b’s amazing hospitality. we will be sure to stay here again if we’re ever in barry island.”

“Sara was the best host and the B&B is lovely and quaint! 15 of my wife's family stays there for our wedding and Sara couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming, from fresh baked welsh cakes on arrival, organising a cooked breakfast for everyone the morning of the wedding to even allowing & taking the children to see all the farm animals. a beautiful cottage in a great location for big groups and families I couldn't recommend it more highly! “Keith was a helpful and attentive host. Apartment was clean, tidy and had everything we wanted. It would have been nice to have direct control of the heating rarher than via Keith, but it didn't cause a problem. Barry has some nice shops and bars.”

I've stayed in many 5* hotels in America, Asia and Europe, and although this was a budget hotel CHRIS was by far the best front of house staff we ever encountered. Throughout our stay CHRIS was so helpful for any information we required and couldn't help us enough. We came as guests and left as friends. Thanks CHRIS.”

“Little Westra welcomed our Beagle with a friendly team. I was shown around the kennels and facilities beforehand, which was reassuring for a first timer. Our dog seemed happy enough after his 8 day stay and did not have too much of the usual kennel smell which has happened at a different kennel. Overall I would recommend Little Westra and will use them again should the need arise.”

We were a little nervous after seeing some of the recent reviews but our experience could not have been more positive. Excellent menu, delicious food, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff.
