We stayed at the Ardencote for our company Christmas do and was not disappointed. They setup for the party was brilliant. We really enjoyed the spa as well. The only letdown perhaps was the dinner, but the full English breakfast made somewhat up for this.

We had a truly memorable romantic break at Ardencote Hotel & Spa, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. The ambience was peaceful and relaxing, ideal for unwinding and reconnecting. The food was a highlight, especially the steak, which was hands down the best we’ve had in a long time. From the serene surroundings to the attentive service, everything felt tailored for a perfect getaway. Highly recommended for couples looking for a blend of comfort, great dining, and a touch of luxury.

We recently stayed at The Ardencote to celebrate our wedding, and sadly, the experience was hugely disappointing not because of the venue itself, which is beautiful, but because of the attitude and behaviour of most of the staff. From the moment we booked, the customer service left a sour taste. The online booking staff were extremely hostile, blunt, and spoke down to us as if we were an inconvenience rather than paying guests. Unfortunately, this attitude continued in person. Upon arrival β€” in full wedding attire we weren’t greeted with so much as a β€œwelcome,” let alone a β€œcongratulations.” It was clear that our special occasion meant nothing to the staff, who were cold and disinterested throughout. To make matters worse, there was no help offered with our suitcase, which we had to retrieve ourselves at 1am. The overall treatment was far too informal for a place that markets itself as a luxury destination and for the price, we expected far better. The one saving grace was the restaurant. The staff there were a complete contrast: friendly, warm, and accommodating. We managed to book a table last minute, were made to feel welcome, and were even surprised with a lovely congratulations dessert, a gesture we deeply appreciated. The spa was also a highlight: peaceful, beautifully maintained, and easy to book. It’s such a shame that the hotel staff, particularly those at reception and in bookings, let the experience down so badly. With a change in attitude and customer service training, this could be a truly special place. As it stands, I wouldn’t return or recommend it for any special occasion.

We had a ladies mini golf break to Ardencote. Afternoon golf, dinner, shared room, breakfast buffet, more golf. Great location for a mixed age and ability group. Course is very flat and not particularly interesting but suited the needs of our group and our texas scramble comp. One lady hired a buggy. The spa facilities were lovely. We all agreed that the hotel and the dinner were great. I thought the staff were particularly helpful.

We Recently stayed here for a three night stay, which was a lovely gift from our daughter. Considering all the hype about this 4 Star!? hotel, we found it very disappointing. The breakfast in particular was very poor, the food was all precooked, the bacon like leather, sausages needed a steak knife to cut, the eggs were all precooked and cold. The coffee likewise was cold when served and the Tea tasted like it had stewed for hours. The room was OK, but the plug for the kettle was not near enough to reach the table so had to be balanced on the Luggage rack. The key cards failed three times and had to be reset at the reception, which was a good 100yd walk from our bedroom. The toilet was badly stained, obviously hadn't been cleaned properly. None of the staff were wearing name badges. When you compare this with Premier Inns, which are half the price, they do fresh bespoke cooked breakfasts to order and the other items are a better choice, selection of fresh coffee of your choice, rooms and facilities equal if not better. We would not recommend this hotel.

Just returned from an overnight stay with my wife and two children. All facilities were good- spacious bedroom, indoor pool and restaurant. We had an evening meal in the restaurant with the food being great, served by a friendly waitress. Breakfast was buffet style which I'm not a fan of but tea/coffee was served at the table which helped. The breakfast food was of a good quality with plenty to choose from. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again in the future.

My step daughter held her wedding reception at Ardencote Hall on the 17th September. Her reception was in the Conservatory and it was a lovely location as it is but once it was dressed beautifully by Blossom and Rose Wedding Stylist the room looked stunning. All of our meals were well cooked and tasty from the meatball hot roll, roast pork dinner and the tasty breakfasts. The only criticism I have is how long it took for the room to be prepared for the evening reception. The staff were very polite and attentive. I would like to return to the hotel when not rushing around like a mad woman to be able to appreciate the beautiful grounds a little more.

Really incredible place, we had the sundown spa experience and it was excellent value for money! Dinner, breakfast and lunch included alongside access to the spa plus a treatment. The food was amazing, the spa was really beautiful and peaceful and I would highly recommend, there was only one downside. There was a wedding on at the hotel and unfortunately the music could be heard in our room until 1am, the rooms weren't too sound proofed as I could the tv in next door's room but I understand that the rooms are in the process of being refurbished - perhaps we had an older room.

I spent three nights at Ardencote. What a place, couldn’t be happier. Rooms are a great size, the place is clean and stunning. Great indoor pool (love swimming so that was important to me), jacuzzi is really powerful I must say. Ha. Steam room and sauna both great. Lovely little gardens around. I asked for a quiet room but unfortunately there was a family with a baby next door who was crying constantly. The staff helped me to find a different room straightaway which I was truly grateful for. I really needed to rest so that was important to me. Thank you again for your help. The only thing I would suggest to improve is to get quality coffee or offer guests the coffee from a bar (proper coffee machine). The one served in the morning was really terrible. Other than that, amazing experience.
