Large YHA hostel. Restaurant on site serving breakfast and evening meals plus a bar. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a self service kitchen if you want to prepare your own meals or drinks. There's also a restaurant across the road if you want a fine dining experience. A few miles outside of Stratford in lovely grounds. Handy for the Cotswolds. We had a great three day stay.

This is a lovely Youth Hostel. The main building is a wonderful old example with lots of character and plenty of space for groups to congregate or to find a quiet(er) space. It has all the usual facilities including washing machines and a nice big drying room (no tumble dryer); at the time of my stay it was £4 for a clothes wash. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. The showers were really good with plenty of hot water. The breakfast was plentiful (all you care to eat) too with all the usual offerings for approximately £5/£10 depending on continental or cooked choice. The unexpected added bonus was witnessing the energy of the other guests. A couple of older school/college groups were there. Polite, engaged in their experience and on the whole quiet after 11 pm.

Absolutely kills perception of Hostels. A pristinely clean and immaculate fittings, beds and linen. Many a 5 star hotel would not be as well cleaned. A no frills delight. Great kitchen for general cooking and laundry. The best value for money ever.

Great hostel in a lovely old building with everything you'd expect from one of the better YHAs. Well looked after and very impressed with the bar and the breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend trying to get a room on a lower floor if it's hot, as these old buildings don't have great insulation and our room was sweltering. Going to be more of a problem as Britain warms up! The staff did provide a small fan for what it was worth. WiFi was non-existant on the 2nd floor and data reception was bad. I'd love to see this rectified in future but otherwise very much recommended. Thanks!

My two friends and I stayed one night in this hostel and we were so impressed. Lovely and helpful staff and we had a fantastic stay. The location is beautiful and rural, but there is a bus stop right outside and getting into the town centre shouldn’t be a problem if you get your bus times right, but we did walk the 3ish miles into town at one point and it was a beautiful and scenic walk through the villages. The room was spotlessly clean, really comfortable bunk beds and there were quite a few bathroom facilities on site, again all very clean and pleasant looking. Wholeheartedly recommend a stay here, I shall definitely be using a YHA hostel again as the balue for money is phenomenal. Thank you!

This is a really nice venue - I was very impressed by the building and location. The people seemed friendly, and the place wasn't covered in CCTV, so it avoided looking like a prison, which a lot of hotels suffer from. The WiFi however was slightly intermittent and eventually stopped working altogether. The outdoor spaces are very nice too - worth visiting just to sit and relax in the grounds, and perhaps buy a pint when their bar is open. A few minor improvements needed but I hope to return. A great use for this former mansion building.

It's a lovely place to stay with direct access to walking routes. My children loved playing around the large enclosure and the games room, even though it is a bit worn, was a very friendly and fun place.

Really enjoyed staying here. The evening food was delicious (I had the potato, cheese and leek pie). Room was large, with a shower and toilet. There were sufficient plug sockets available and there was free WiFi (however it did like disconnecting a lot - was still v useful as service was low for me). Location was gorgeous and it was nice and clean.
