Would have been an ok experience but upon arrival to a seemingly empty hotel we were greeted by a friendly member of staff who obviously thought we were open to the idea of swinging, which was unaware to us until opening our assigned room door to find a very surprised stark naked man laid in the bed, almost giving the poor bloke a heart attack! Though when going back to reception to ask for an empty room, the staff did not seem overly surprised and not very apologetic just said oops yours is the one next door and gave up as different card key.

Lets not beat around the bush. Its old, the doors on the bathroom look to be original. The bath and shower also look like they haven't been updated since it was built either, especially with the build up of limescale on them. Bed seemed clean or at least the sheets did, i had some stains on the divan base. Walls are marked, paint chipped and i had a few squashed bugs on mine. The one and only socket has been updated with USB ports which is nice but its not near the bed, it was so close to the desk top that i had to swap the TV plug around just to be able to plug in my laptop Also, no breakfast so you are stuck with the services choices....which wont rate higher than this. Im glad i didn't have to pay for this (work trip) but i think ill avoid this place from now on. It really needs dragging into the modern age

Checked in, room 104 was dirty and sink backing up so asked to move. 114 was cleaner but would still benefit from a deep clean, stains in bathroom, carpets sticky.2 available plugs in the room could not be used as they were too close to the dressing table. Had to plug fan into TV socket leaving just 1 usb charger to charge 2 phones. Staff were pleasant enough and attentive

Greeted by a lovely lady on reception. Was given an upstairs room as requested. The room was basic but had everything I needed. Good shower, tv, kettle & tea! Surprisingly quiet to say it's on a motorway service station.

Room 110: upon arrival Staff was pleasant and welcoming and helpful when asking where to park, however the Room was big and spacious and mattress comfortable but sadly that's all that is good about it. It isn't the safest as anyone can walk in to the hallways where the rooms are, staff never check to see if your staying there given the doors got no lock, this made me feel quite unsafe knowing anyone could just access the hotel. Our had a window that was somewhat broken so didn't close properly as the bottom corner stuck out so could hear outside traffic, the bed had a rip down the side, net curtain has a rip in it, the rooms outdated, very old kettle that takes a long time to boil, small amount of sugar. For how much they charge your expect better quality £122 for 2 nights originally priced £135 it would be in the 2 hundreds for a 3 night stay! Bad TV signal with a TV that was on a slant. Our room came with a bath now I'm 4 foot 11 and I couldn't even lay in the bath it was that small, it was also extremely low it's basically a miniature bath, with the bath full didn't even have the depth to cover my stomach with the water and I'm not overweight either. The water was never hot only warm didn't even have to touch the cold tap and often would start running cold so no consistent temperature. Closes the door to the bathroom as it doesn't have a handle you can't manoeuvre means shutting the door is loud so trying to use the toilet in private especially at night time is possible. The staff member on Friday evening was rude, walked in after an evening out and asked if they had any hot chocolate sachets for sale as they do have items for sale and got met with a grumpy face and an awful tone being told to go all the way next door and that they're a hotel, it didn't occur to them we were staying already, not even a greeting when we walked through the door. They wanted £109 for a stay from Saturday into Sunday and for the room you get it is absolutely a rip off and not worth that at all! We ended up finding somewhere else to stay come Saturday. It's okay or a pit stop for one overnight but definitely not multiple and it's indeed overpriced and extremely outdated.

Affordable, quiet and comfortable place to stay. Friendly and welcoming staff. Little blip on arrival, original room hadn’t been made up from previous guest but this was immediately sorted out

Basically an over expensive travelodge, but would always pick travelodge as Days Inn late check out is only an extra hour despite being £10, how to connect to the internet isn't explained just hidden on the inside of your cardboard key holder. Rooms just basically a standard travelodge style room, no less comfortable. Would avoid staying unless unavoidable. Woken by a fire alarm test and not being pre warned and a cleaner attempted to enter my room without knocking

The place was not clean, doors didn't work, bins mot emptied, dirty bed sheets, used sanitary products left in the bin from previous customer. Absolutely disgusting!

Great place for an impromptu night stop when getting tired driving. Very reasonable price. Clean, tidy ,comfortable; so good value for money.

The bed wasn’t amazing and the room was quite warm even with no heating on so I had the window open a lot which isn’t great near a service station. It was easy to get to, fairly inexpensive and near a few good places to eat though
