We stayed on the campsite in early January, in our campervan. This is one of the rare sites that are open all year and have a toilet block with shower. The site is easy to find, secure with key pad controlled high gates and surrounded by gardens and fields. Pitches are large, hard standing and level. Even after torrential rain, these were fine (although grass understandably boggy). Electric hook up and water taps between pitches. Toilet block is in the end of a barn building. All tiled, clean, windows a little shabby but ok. Unisex, 2 toilet cubicles and 2 large cubicles with wash basins and shaver points. One electric shower in cubicle with shower curtain too - the usual set up at campsites. The block is unheated but there is a blow heater on the wall that you can activate. Soap, air-hand dryer, toilet paper all provided. There is only a charge for the electrically heater hot water -50p shower, 20p basin hot water. We thought it would be too cold to shower in comfort in January but it was fine. Plenty of time to shower, nice and hot. Be aware though, no suitable washing up facility (outside sink cold only). The road nearby is busy so expect road noise (and sheep bleating, bird song too). Didn't seem to be a campervan discharge point, so expect to use the old bowl and bucket if you want to empty grey water. There is a chemical loo emptying place and the usual waste area. Reason for 5 stars...excellent value!(And a nice owner.)

Ok, so we stopped over at the croft cl for 3nights on the way to the peak District. Owner is friendly enough, however, the cl was full of contractors in seasonal vans while we were there. Vans and pickups parked haphazardly. They didn't bother us but could be off-putting for some. Location was good for Hatton locks, Warwick and Stratford upon Avon. Didn't use the facilities so can't comment. Road alongside is fairly busy as well. Ok as a stopover.

Flat, secure site with hardstandings. That's the end of the positive. The owner told us his wife had passed away 6 months ago, so maybe he's lost interest in the site. The shower block, I use the words loosely, was freezing and dirty. Some windows were rotten and wouldn't close, some didn't have latches. There was a 50p meter for the one and only shower and a 20p meter for the wash hand basins. I have never had to pay before for washing my hands after going to the toilet. There was an uncovered, outside sink and drainer that looked like it was for doing dishes but, again, it was filthy and only had cold water. There was a field for running the dogs, but there was an old bath tub full of stagnant rain water, which my dog drank from before I could stop her. That resulted in a £120 vet bill to treat her gastritis. So beware dog owners. We won't be returning and I suggest you look for another site.

The owners, David and Pat are National Treasures. We stayed at the Croft for one week, and received every courtesy imaginable. We enjoyed chatting with them every morning, and they were incredibly helpful. They made the experience of staying in the Warwick area memorable.

This is a lovely place, and our hostess was very pleasant. The rooms were comfortable, and the yard is beautiful. Breakfast was delicious, and the owner makes the jam herself! We would definitely stay here again.
