   We had a disappointing experience with this company despite their otherwise strong reputation. My partner and I, both in our early twenties, applied for a property for our use and our young daughter through them and were told we were not considered “mature enough.” It was disheartening to feel dismissed based solely on our age, especially when we approached the process with seriousness and responsibility. We hope the company reconsiders how they assess applicants, focusing more on individual circumstances rather than age-based assumptions.

   We have used homes letting ltd in Coventry since 2007. They have fully managed all aspects of the contract from start. This included finding a tenant, reference checks, tenancy agreement, inventory preparation, collection of rent, payment to us, All their documentation are very transparent. We can only recommend them so highly and are very pleased to have used such a professional company. Their knowledge, after care and always willing to assist is highly commendable. Our property is now sold and we will miss their professional service.

   I am truly amazed by the previous review of Maud Attrill. I worked for Homes lettings at the time, and Ms Attrill. was fully aware that the tenant was a service user with carers in place. I even spoke with her neighbours, whom are friends with the landlady to reassure and inform them that a tenant with disabilities would be residing there and should they have any issues, then to please contact me. Regarding renewal of contracts! I have been in the lettings business for a number of years and we are finding that tenants do not wish to sign a new contract, and opt to enter into a periodic period. This does not have any financial impact on the landlady, and the same rights still apply on where the tenant still is required to give notice, and in fact it is the agents that were at a financial loss at the time, by not being able to charge contract renewal fees. I am also bemused that Ms Attrill has chosen to write a review 6 years later. surely if she was receiving such bad service from the agent, then why would you leave a property with an agent for 5 years. I am writing this statement to support all agents that receive negative feedback, and yes there are bad agents out there, however this is a family run business and they take pride in providing the best service, not only for landlords/landlady's, but also for the tenants.

   Rented our house through homes letting for 5 years 6 years ago and it was probably the worst experience we have ever had. Failed to keep us in touch with the damage our tenants were causing, due to the fact they had failed to disclose the full facts of our potential clients to us, though they were aware of it. Failed to send us renewal contracts. When we changed letting agents, we realised what a mistake going with homes lettjng had been. Now have proper contracts, renewal contracts and rent paid on time( by our tenant) .

   As a tenant who moved into a Homes Lettings property 4 months ago, I would say that they are friendly, very straightforward and respond quickly to requests for maintenance. The only small downside is that I would prefer that they used the government deposit scheme. I hope that the alternative scheme they use works well but we will only find out when we leave! Having rented properties for some years I am really impressed with our experience so far.
