First time visit here, no parking is my first thoughts ! Only 3 disabled bays to park close for 600 seats ? Quite run down, staff pleasant and polite, keep your coat on though, gets cold with the air con. Will say toilet facilities were modern and nice and clean.

No stars awarded. I agree with Kellie's review. We have watched the last two Christmas productions at the Albany (Alice in Wonderland and Oliver Twist). They were both excellent. Beauty and the Beast was terrible. Exactly as Kellie experienced, people were walking out at the interval as did we. I felt like asking for my money back, £36 down the drain as far as I am concerned. The Albany Theatre reply to Kellie says that social media pointed out it was not a pantomime. We think it was, and a awful one at that and nothing like the fairytale.

Me and My Gal - Saturday Matinee. Wonderful performance. Colourful costumes and lively dancing. May I indulge and say Josh played his part really well and brought the humour out of it convincingly. Congratulations to all (including back stage). One prefers to hold back on critisism but perhaps if it is made with a view to encouragement it's permitted....so on the dialogue go a smidgen slower to enhance the diction especially the funny one line bits for maximum audience reaction. My Wife and I will be back for more Shows.

First time at the Albany Theatre, what a superb venue. Went to see ELO Encounter who were also brilliant.

Lovely place to watch a live performance. My 6 year old loved the sleeping beauty show and till today sings the song - 'i never wronged an onion'. You can buy tickets in advance and also ask for a shout out from the stage for someone who's celebrating their birthdays.

We went to see Cinderella. A fabulous performance with a great cast. Really enjoyed it, as did my granddaughter. Fab sets, music and choreography. Performance included some very load bangs, which produced a lot of smoke which affected my asthma. Full auditorium.

This was actually my first ever visit to a theatre, went to see Dickens A Christmas Carol, the theatre itself was undergoing some reconstruction but this was not in anyway distracting. As for the play WOW, 7 or 8 people played the parts and were brilliant, it's my favourite story and they more than did it justice

Lovely theatre, just on edge of town. Had a lovely little photo booth area set up for the Christmas shows. After checking reviews on parking, I decided against parking at the one recommended on the website, and opted for the one over the road at the Ramada hotel. It was pretty empty, and there was no queue to get out, and only cost £1 in the hotel reception. The theatre itself felt really lovely and old fashioned, in a really nice way. The production was great, and all the staff were really friendly. I only dropped one star as when I arrived, I was after a warm drink but was told they weren't open yet, but have no indication of when they were, so I didn't get a drink before the show, not a massive issue, I will make sure I preorder next time as I hadn't realised I could do this.

Visited the Albany Theatre for a small gig. The venue was situated at the back of the main building. The staff (sound guys, security etc) were amazing. Having visited as part of a band, the staff were so friendly & accommodating. Set up was straight forward, sound checks were quick. Once the gig started the sound & lighting was fantastic. Dont think I have met a friendlier bunch of sound engineers at the many venues I have attended. Ideal for smaller bands with anything between 100 & 300 guests While there, there was a fire alarm & the venue had to be evacuated. Staff were calm & handled the situation well ...... luckily it was a false alarm. Would definitely return to this venue.
