Cool place for under 10s. Chickens,goats, ducks and a few other birds. Not a bad place for city kids to see live animals.
Lovely little animal/pet corner with small play and picnic area. Perfect to bring your little ones for some quality outdoor time out. Considering it's free of charge to enter the variety of animals and how well it's maintained is great. Once you've done in there can just carry on exploring the rest of the Abbey Park, including nice playground right across from it, about 5 minutes walking distance.
It's free and about 2 years ago was just birds now there's goats and chickens rabbits.. my son loved it and the little play area I'm the middle

It's a lovely place for everyone to see, has lots of lovely animals, like rabbits, guinea pigs, peacocks, chickens, various birds and goats and it's free.
Love it children do too. Why don't you have the animal welfare office carry food the children can give to the pets. They could be taught about the animals too it could be a small education project. But I've been going here for over 67 years love the fact they are maintaining it well but I do miss the paddling pool. My mother worked on the park in the last war she made camouflage nets upstairs in the provillian. There were tanks parked on the central lawn coved in the same nets. Have fun.
A good experience for the kids. It's not manned and so the animals are all in cages and there's no possibility of petting them. It's still a good place to take young children. There's chickens, rabbits, goats, peacocks and an assortment of birds. There's also a small park that kids can play in whilst there. It's free to visit and there's no reservation needed.
Lovely, has a lot of birds, rabbits, guinea pigs and goats. Great for kids, has a play area and benches also.
